Mr. Taster's adventure in New York with a one-day food tour at the legendary Katz's Delicatessen restaurant with the unique pastrami sandwich, and a smoked salmon bagel at Ross and daughter's restaurant with the famous New York bagel, along with a stop at the famous Jewish food knish store with a history of 113 years. We also tasted a pizza at the oldest pizzeria in America, Lombardi's pizza, and a report on the strange pastas of the very old Italian restaurant Il Mulino in New York.
I was very excited to report on the legendary restaurant Katz's Delicatessen, a deli that is part of the culture and history of New York City. In 1888, a small delicatessen named Island Brothers was established in New York, which was later named by Willie Katz in 1903. It changes to Iceland & Katz and when its cousin is added to it in 1910, Katz's restaurant is officially formed. The restaurant has always been full of actors, singers and comedians from many theaters in the region, whose photos were on the walls of the restaurant. At Katz's deli, you can try the most delicious meat sandwich with different cuts.
Foods like corned beef, pastrami, brisket, etc. We had Katz's corned beef sandwich and Katz's pastrami sandwich. It takes time to prepare the meat. Actually, they cure the meat first, then they steam it and boil it, then they cut it and it is extremely delicious. We also tried an old school drink called soda pop and a famous potato salad, which was very good.
The next restaurant we went to is called Ross and Daughters, and it has very delicious bagels. We tried the smoked salmon fillet and lox with the famous New York Bagel. It was really delicious. The non smoked salmon with cream cheese and red onion was a masterpiece, I had never tasted something like it before, especially the caviar was unique, it was an amazing experience for me. We ate churros in a cool shop, which is a very delicious type of sweet that is originally from Mexico and extremely delicious. In the last part of this report, we went to a knishery shop that has very delicious knishes that combine Jewish food with special spices. This is a family business that has been around since 1910. Knish is like a very delicious jack potato that is eaten with mustard and it is amazing.
We want to go to America's oldest pizzeria called Lombardi's. Since 1905, Gennaro Lombardi has been making pizzas in the United States using his baking skills that he learned from Naples. Lombardi became the first pizzeria in America by developing New York-style pizza. It is still located in the Little Italy section of Manhattan and the pizza is cooked in a coal oven with a beautiful smoky crust, with pure tomato sauce, fresh milk mozzarella and basil. We ordered two types of pizza, the pepperoni pizza, which was very delicious, and the ricotta meatball pizza, which had meatballs and ricotta and was extremely delicious. The last restaurant of the New York food tour is the old Italian restaurant Il Mulino, which is very famous in New York and hard to get a reservation. They have very delicious dishes and appetizers, such as veal chops, which is wonderful, ravioli with cream and champagne sauce . We started of with some appetizers like tomato, eggplant and garlic, salami with classic parmesan vinaigrette and garlic bread which are wonderful. We had three types of pasta, one with champagne sauce, one with porcini mushrooms, and one with black ink. The Spicy lobster with garlic was also unique.
