New York City Interborough Express Route Alignment Lightrail. (No Captions/Sound version)

As the Interborough Express advances towards its EIS phase, let's examine the route alignment of this new light rail initiative. This slideshow presentation also encompasses the route elevations. It's important to bear in mind that the alignment and configuration might undergo changes as the project makes progress. LRT was definitely the correct choice of technology along this line. I can attest high-floor pre-metro-style LRT when given proper corridors like this will make transit expansion affordable and more quickly built...
