HARLEM is a neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, New York City. It is bounded roughly by the Hudson River on the west; the Harlem River and 155th Street on the north ; Fifth Avenue on the east; and Central Park North on the south. The greater Harlem area encompasses several other neighborhoods and extends west to the Hudson River, north to 155th Street, east to the East River, and south to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Central Park, and East 96th Street. Originally a Dutch village, formally organized in 1658, it is named after the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands.

I love KZbin for Things like that! Sitting here on a Monday evening in South-Germany and make a walk through Harlem without book a fly, spend money or whatever (what I am willing to do anyway someday). 😂 The Video is extremely sharp and it's like it's me walking there. The same for the whole USA or Japan or Africa. Within 10 Seconds I am in a foreign city and see people I will never met in my whole life. Strange, funny and sad at the same time. No way, only parts of London that could resemble this is Peckham, Harlesden, Camberwell, Brixton (to an extent) and Tottenham and all these places I mentioned are on a much smaller scale. I would say those places are 1/8th of Harlem in size or smaller... In terms of looks, nothing like London. About 15 years ago I wired a 7 story bldg. not far from the Apollo. It was originally 5 stories and we added two more to it. On one of the existing floors was a figure skating academy. This video reminded me of that job and I looked it up. They were nice people who tried hard to put up with hassle that 50 construction workers can produce. I'm glad that they are still there. I wonder if you can still buy fresh mangoes on the street corners.
