Hi Sam . Well l think there was something for everyone in this show , terrific ! Always thought the Cougar was a very pretty car in it's own right but it always remained the underdog .......do you know where that saying comes from ? I found out some years back that when the loggers were hand sawing the logs into planks the huge saws needed 2 to operate . So they dug a pit, one sawing from underneath ,usually the apprentice , and the other from above . The one underneath was called the "underdog" . Your history lesson for today ! Have to say the Toronado is one of my favourites and that Toyota Corolla was a hoot ! As always , thankyou Sam . (No more history lessons , promise !)

Well Sam, we almost had one; a true 1970 W30/442 that is. Unfortunately the black beauty at 37:24 wasn't a "W Machine" and the Royal blue beauty at 54:29 though a W30 was a 71' not a 70'. I'm patient hoping you'll run across an unmolested stock 70' and get some good footage, but until then; sigh. ;) Btw, a few things to look for "at a glance" is: the factory "442" spacing i.e. the distance between the 44 is closer than that of the 4 2. Also the side mirrors have a horizonal "crease" along the middle. Other earmarks on a true W30 will take a little effort, asking questions, and a flashlight [lol]. Great video; *God bless.*
