Just wait till u get this one in person. They really nailed the modern take on it. The updated logo is honestly better then the original for me. They described the jersey as part of the 50th anniversary, where they said something on the line of making a jersey that represents the past but shows where the brand is looking to go. I don’t think it will stick around but this is absolutely a jersey that fits in the brand

I am a long time Islanders fan. I like this effort. Though it is very odd that the striping at the bottom doesn't match up. I understand why the isles have shyed away from the fisherman, but I think this is a good jersey that will sell well.

Isles fan here, and I absolutely love it. Honestly, I thought I would hate it without the teal, but it looks so good. Maybe they revive the full fisherman as an alternate in the future. I hope so

Jersey looks awesome but one glaring part is missing if your going with the fisherman logo you gotta have the lighthouses on the shoulders that's the big glaring part missing are the lighthouses if they would have been on the shoulders it would have made it more complete

I have a vintage Fisherman white jersey and there is no such separation on the side. Also, how could they not kept the lighthouse ??!

I love the Fisherman and I'm so happy that they're embracing it, but I'm disappointed with how many changes they made. I think the recolored logo looks good, but I don't see why they had to change the font size on it. Of course I'm missing the teal, the wavy font, and the wave striping. Hopefully they'll bring the original Fisherman back as a third.

I pre ordered the Islanders Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey from their team store at Isles Lab at UBS Arena size 56 blank looks so good in person with the Fisherman logo in the Primegreen with the 3D effect when I heard that their was not gonna be no teal, no waves, and no Lighthouse on the shoulders I was kinda bummed out also I even got the Reverse Retro beanie knit hat to match the jersey as well and I didn't even noticed the stripes was messed up on the jersey when I saw B.A. Hockey video yesterday talking about it but overall Islanders did a good job the RR 2.0 jersey is so much better than the RR 1.0 jersey

Isles did a good job with this jersey. I wish the logo was colorized like the original and the stripes not lining up on the side really bothers me. On the OG fisherman the wave did connect all around. Not sure why these stripes don't. I wish they would go with the original fisherman as a third set

The Islanders finally wore their jersey 8 days ago and it was revealed that the lines don't connect on the bottom sides of the jersey. Many people find this very ugly. The front logo looks good.

The wave on the original was continuous. They messed up big time on this one by not having the stripes match up. I feel that's a huge fail. It makes the striping look like a total afterthought.

Just for the Fisherman this is a 9, but the colouring makes it kind of boring which I fought would be impossible for a fisherman jersey. And the misaligned stripe on the side? ...ouch

The more I see of this jersey, the more I dislike it. I LOVE the original fisherman jersey, but this is just awful. To me it's like they felt they had to do the fisherman and made it bad on purpose. The removal of teal, the lighthouse logo on the shoulders, and the wave pattern just make the jersey feel bland. The colourization of the fisherman himself makes it feel like he's dead/dying. The original orange was much better. And the fact that the striping does not meet up, it just looks so bad. I'm just so disappointed in this jersey.

I laugh at fishsticks but they really missed out on the original colors. These reminds me of our 2020 liberty RR. A highly requested logo finally brought back but done wrong. Shit was 30yrs ago. Yes it was worst time in their franchise’s history but again 30yrs ago get over it. Its a complete diff situation

9/10. This is what the first Reverse Retro should have been for the Islanders. I love the Fisherman is back and love the look of the numbers. The only three problems that keep it from a perfect 10 is that the position of the front stripes don't match the back stripes, not having teal on the jersey, and no lighthouse patches on the shoulders. One of the 11 jerseys I preordered and getting customized (I got a blank Ducks Reverse Retro later).

Super unpopular opinion: I think this is one of the worst jersey of all time. The colors on the jersey vs the logo make no sense, the striping is illogical, ugly and asymmetrical with the shoulders. This looks like someone started the jersey design but didn't finish it. Other terrible jerseys AT LEAST look like a complete design but this looks boring, uninspired and just an excuse to give this logo to the fans. Let it be known that I don't like the original fisherman jersey but at least it was a complete design and was unique in its layout and colors. This, on the other hand, is atrocious.
