I am frustrated with the Jets period. I am a southern boy Jets fan and have been since Broadway Joe. I’m old. I always look forward to the Jets-Dolphins games. There have been some damn good ones for sure. They blew it again yesterday. Need Rex Ryan back.

Because it takes 4-5 seconds off the clock to run it back to the 30 at minimum. End of the 1st half they did the same thing and it took off 4 seconds and they ran it back to the 28.

Jets are UNDISCIPLINED AND POORLY COACHED. Ulbricht is the worst coach in Jets history..maybe worse than Kotite..Doesn't hold players accountable for many bad penalties pre and post snap..Kinlaw committing 15 yard personal foul on dolphins 1st drive of the game. Lazard in motion to negate first down catch. Rodgers wasting t.o. late in game. Jets corners and Lb's giving up consective first downs on TE screen passes..10 penalties for over 100 yards..

The only way that a high draft pick could help is if the Jets trade down and get a bunch of selections for that one draft pick.

Phins fan here too. Yeah, that was a weird game. If we had this game against a credible team it would feel like a great win. With all the usual dumpster fire activity surrounding the Jets this year, all of which has featured AR at the top and them coming into Miami (where they haven't won in 8 years) this was supposed to be another downed NY jumbo Jet in Miami! But then the Jets have been in most games this year. I think they should have brought in an interm / candidate HC with HC experience. Game ending time management trips up a LOT of rookie HCs. McDaniel is certainly no exception there (remember Buffalo playoff game from the 2022 season!!) Ulbrecht has done well with the defense but clock management has killed him. Why Devante Adams didn't slide or drop to a knee in bounds instead of trying to make a 45 yard FG attempt into the 42 yarder in give us 45 seconds to tie the game up next drive is a lost brain fumble to be sure. Then the big return from Washington (I wanted to hurt him after that GB fumbled return but I feel better now!) that set up the tying FG. I see this game as more weird than ugly but that's to each his own. Definitely ugliness dispersed throughout (the Jets last 1.5 minutes for sure). This win offers very little in the way of confidence when we go up against a team that is actually playing for something realistic in Houston. But I'll take weird or ugly if we get the win.

The late sack was better than an incomplete pass, but yeah, everything after that was bad. Also, how did that kickoff not go into the end zone? The Jets have been kicking it deep all year.
@joeblog267221 күн бұрын
Our return guy (Malik Washington) muffed an opening return in GB in our last game. I suspect the Jets were trying to go after him real good by having their kicker kick high into the zone to induce some weak returns and possibly another turnover. They kicked everyone into the zone I think and it wasn't getting the Jets much benefit. Given that fact, I would have kicked it through and not given Miami the chance for any momentum.
@144Donn21 күн бұрын
How many kick offs are even returned? They are almost all out of the end zone!
@joeblog267221 күн бұрын
Your kicker was kicking them up high into the return zone all day with Miami running them back. The net difference appeared to be negligible, one way or the other. If they had be pinning Miami back with those returnable all game then I would have agreed with the returnable kick at the end. But since they hadn't been doing that, I think they made the wrong move. That gave us a lot of momentum to tie the game or even win it outright at the end of regulation if Tyreek comes up with that bomb pass with enough space to score (of course if he didn't score, you guys would have won! Reek may have let that one go on purpose).

It never made sense to me that Rodgers was not only an MVP but had possibly The Best Seasons Ever yet he complained that he wasn't allowed to call more plays while there. The problem with the Jets according to an Excellent Analysis Video made by one Alex Rollins is exactly that Rodgers keeps changing the plays at the line of scrimmage & they don't have the personnel to enact them. He may know plays: but he doesn't get personnel. _This_ is why he throws teammates under the bus He's Matt Eberflus. "There's nothing wrong with _MY_ plays so the problem must lie with You Players. I can see why the whole team realizes they were sunk before the season started. This is also why Rodgers thought he could miss spring training games without repercussions: he was just gonna call His Plays No Matter What anyway. & no one is holding him accountable.

I think Ulbricht is a good DC. Hey may yet turn into a decent HC someday dfdthough not likely this year and he will not be on too many team wish lists for HC in 2025. Once again, his promotion to HC was another colossal blunder for the Jets and it shows with clock management. This is kryptonite for most rookie HCs, even those who are hired in the offseason and get all summer to prepare. The Jets should have gone with an interm HC with NFL HC experience, even if he is not the greatest choice overall. ARZ, IND and MIA could all have been won with even average clock management. Of course, as a Dolphins fan I think the Jets are doing a swell job on and off the ice - er uhm, field I mean and give my complete approval for what they are doing!

@joeblog267221 күн бұрын
A lot of defensive rankings are skewed by their team's bad offenses. If a team has a bad offense and a decent defense, their opposition will often play more cautious and clock time will get chewed up more with less offensive output to show. The reason for this is because the opposing teams are going nuts, gunning the ball downfield and matching points with a high scoring offense. Defensive rankings, unless they are more specific, deal with yards allowed. So opposition teams won't be gunning for yards as hard as if they were playing a lot of catchup. #3 is still a good ranking regardless, but put the Jets up against the better teams and this defense will crumble. Also a factor are weak opposition teams as they can pad a team's defensive ranking if they see a lot of that kind. There still could be hope for your Jets defense next year.
