He wasn’t getting recognition because he couldn’t carry an offense on his shoulders. He was great for us in Seattle because Beast Mode opened up the field for Russ, but teams had no trouble stopping him when they didn’t have to worry about the running game. If he’s humbled enough to realize that now, maybe he can be great again.

Russ never really bounced back from the terrible circumstances he started out with (i.e. Hackett clearly showing he was in over his head as a HC). Since Russ can't put the team on his back like some QBs can, it was a match doomed to fail in hindsight.
@oscaraguilar6980
@oscaraguilar6980 3 ай бұрын
@@greenAbbot in 2015-2016 season, Russell Wilson had the greatest 4 game stretch in nfl history by any QB EVER. This was without Beast mode, with a terrible O-line, and throwing to receivers like Luke Willson, Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, and Tyler Lockett (3/4 undrafted). Wilson absolutely could put a team on his back, but his offensive scheme held him back. If he was in an Andy Reid scheme, he would have been multiple time MVP

Now I am, have been, and always will be a Packers fan, however I've been watching football since 1972-73. I have the utmost respect for the Pittsburgh Steelers organization. They've had some absolutely incredible teams. The Steel Curtain, The Immaculate Reception, and Super Bowl 🏈 after Super Bowl. Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Rocky Bleier, LC Greenwood, "Mean" Joe Greene, Jack Lambert, and Coach Chuck Noll. The 70's had some really great players on their teams. I remember watching the Super Bowl 🏈 the Minnesota Vikings versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. 16-6 the Steelers won. I used to like QB Fran Tarkenton, shh don't tell anyone, he was a Vikings player.....lol, and Packers fans are NOT supposed to like any Chicago Bears or Minnesota Vikings players. I'm sure the Steelers fans know about rivalries with the Browns and the Bengals. The NFC & AFC Central Division as they were called back then were the tough Divisions. The Black and Blue Division. Now the NFC & AFC North, they are still the toughest Divisions in the NFL. It's good to see Russell Wilson playing with the Steelers and playing well. He is a great player and I hope he can help you out getting to the playoffs. Take care! Go Packers and Go Steelers!

Same here. The way they played first quarter and into 2nd I thought it was a wrap. After Bishop interception I watched a SB caliber team on the field. Najee just woke up last 2 games.. Wilson has a beautiful long ball and Pickens is otherworldly! Friermuth has been a fav of mine for yrs he just needs more touches. My biggest concern is the schedule after Thanksgiving. It's absolutely brutal. Back to back to back divisional games. If we can stay healthy we can make it deep into playoffs. Hopefully get Pickens some help.

@@send6prayDallas only punted once that game. Russ threw 15 passes into the ground well short of receiver. And he completed the same % as fields. He failed to convert just as many red zones as well. I don’t have a problem with Russ and minus the first quarter he did great. But JF did just as great. Pickens actually caught it in the end zone for Russ. Stop being a jag. Seriously. It was a 2-4 team. Dallas was best until the final play. Colts were beat as well.

A QBR in mid 60's with a completion rate in mid 50's is a great Qb?? They beat a 2 win team whose only wins are against a 1-5 and 1-6 team. The only teams the Jets have beat are dead last in the league who just replaced their starting Qb b/c they were so bad. Rodgers had a completion rate in mid 60's and a QBR of 50....would you say he was great?

What a game for Russ! Steelers are such a dangerous team having the ability to choose between two high level QBs in Wilson and Fields. Combine that with an extremely good defense and you have a team that can potentially make a deep run in the playoffs, maybe a super bowl 👀
