If that is the discussion we are meant to have America must inevitably fail for supporting such continuously heinous actions -- must fail because the Constitution and its framers were explicit about this sort of thing. When a government is abusing people (and duplicitousness as we see here by the establishment and support of a religious ethno-state), there really is only one reasonable course of action. Why this is controversial is only a matter of disingenuous bias and has been complicated by the fact that the intent of this nation has already been distorted by a fiat currency and standing military. We took a wrong turn by the Civil War and that isn't an easy conclusion for me to arrive at. I am a descendant of the people who were being trafficked and held captive prior to that.

I think it’s hard for people to grasp but really, this is not about supporting Gaza or vilifying Israel. Employers don’t want this drama in their workplace. They are ok with people having personal value systems but they need them to leave that at home (yes you, former Google employees). Companies need you to focus on their mission and not social causes during work hours.

It is not a question of keeping your personal views at home but rather it is the risk somebody like that may not be able to serve clientele who are Jewish businessmen. A pro Palestinian hamas supporter may not act in the best interests of such clients. A client may feel uncomfortable in their work being handled by these people. Jewish and non non Jewish law staff may not to want to work with them.Their presence will create bad morale.
