This guy is a quietly brilliant interviewer. He asks informed questions he knows she can answer in top form, without trying to be as clever as her. So many interviewers of Fran are incapable of knowing when to get out of the way.

My wife and I are constantly shocked at the DEvolvement of society, we expected much better. We are not intellectuals but all you need is at least a modicum of decency for your fellow human beings, knowledge of culture and how society works. At the bare minimum, people need to read books, observe, and participate with others.

This reminds me of when I graduated from High School in 1965. I had every intention of going to college and becoming an Engineer. HOWEVER at my graduation party one of the gifts I received was a a metal lunchbox with a thermos. I thought it was a Joke. Nope....I graduated on a Saturday and the very next Monday I was working in a Machine Shop where my Father worked. I was making $1.50 per hour and with overtime I was bringing home $80.00. Every Friday my Mom would meet me as I came in the front door and she would extract $35 from me for room & board. Thankfully this didn’t screw me to the way my parents had lived their lives. My Dad died within a year and Now I was the Head of the household. Some Parents make a huge mistake in trying to decide or rule on what their kids become. I worked from 1965 until 2016 and I’m now happily retired at 73ys. old. I never did get my degree in Engineering but I chose a field very near to this goal and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Sorry, minor semantics error. But I took over most of the chores like Cutting the grass, taking out the trash, basic maintenance around the house including two vehicles, plus. One thing I am most thankful for are the skills my Dad taught me which allowed me to completely remodel the kitchen including electrical, plumbing and new kitchen cabinets which I made myself. That Head of Household title is somewhat of a dubious title which really doesn’t mean anything until it’s time to file the Taxes and then the IRS tells you exactly what it means.

I think she is dead wrong about the older candidates being too old for presidency. There is something to be said for having wisdom, experience, and basically having lived. People who 'have lived' and 'seen things' make better decisions. The US is one of the few places in which elderly people are discarded and seen unimportant. I want to like her, but no, not going to happen. She has her points of view, but does't offer up reasons for her judgments. I don't care for folks like that. She's definitely a character and speaks her mind though. But at the same time people like Lebowitz are like stubborn mules who refuse to reconsider their opinions. I've met people like her in life.
