Tonight may be his last time as Rangers coach because if they are flat once gain show no fight, no physicality, and struggle to get shots on goal then major changes have to be made starting with him and then the roster. You cannot run it back next year with this same squad after a monumental collapse like this would be. If they play bad I expect every Ranger fan in that building to boo them as loud as they can off the ice. I actually believe they will play better tonight simply because of the law of averages no way can you play worse then game 5 I think it migh be impossible to play any worse, it was that bad. Even if they were to get out of this series, I really cant see them beating Carolina 2 years in a row anyway.

When its time to play, you believe in yourself in your preparation, but when your prepping you better be able to look at your own mistakes. I don't feel bad for Gerard Gallant at all. Why didn't he try to mix things up why didn't he put artemi panarin and Kane together? Maybe move Alexis LaFreniere up with zibanejad. The only risky thing he did was do a goaltender pull in a little less than 5 minutes to go. Which was a disaster! He's the coach he's supposed outcoach the other coach ! Nonsense! He did nothing to coach! Maybe even have done at Mercy Pull for Igor shesterkin put jaroslav halak in so he could rest them in the last 5 minutes the only thing he did what's put them back in! opinion Gerard Gallant is the failure!

He didn't think they were soft and lazy when they were playing east west fancy passing hockey all season though? now his system is shut down by the Devils and his squad is caught with their pants down because all year they didn't play a physical go to the net and get defection/tip goals type of hockey, they played a fancy soft brand of hockey under him al year, he should have had his team prepared for physical playoff hockey. He is not a great coach, his team is playing his system which is east west hockey which doesnt work in the playoffs he coaches a soft brand of hockey it is why he got his arse kicked by the Caps in the finals, last year they caught the right teams to not get exposed physically but once they got to Tampa they got shut down and beat up physically they are not physical enough to win a cup, this year teams had the MO on them and the Devils have shut them down
