We had a post war consensus and the world I lived in was poor but you felt as if you lived in a caring society where everyone was considered. Then neoliberalism took hold with Thatcher and Reagan and here we are today with society torn apart by inequality and narcissism. Blair and Clinton took up the baton and the Labour Party of Atlee and the Dem party of FDR were scattered to the winds. And we are unfortunately now living like the proverbial pig that can’t smell its own shite.

The guy makes a good point about the voting in New York. Which was repeated elsewhere across the States and in my opinion is the main reason Trump won Trumps vote count in New York was literally the same as 2020. The Democrats were down more that 1,000,000 votes. Altho in NY they still won. Nationwide Trumps vote count again was literally the same as 2020. While the Democrats were down 12 MILLION!! Democrats are quick to blame the 'stupid' people that all voted for Trump. But in reality they have brought this on themselves. Trumps support base was the same as always. Whilst the liberal left Democrat supporters all spat the dummy out over Palestine and 'made their stand' by not voting for Kamala. Now those same people are crying over Trump becoming Presidemt 🤷♂️

@berniethekiwidragon4382 Her instincts aren't the greatest. It took her years to see that Elizabeth Warren was indeed no Bernie Sanders, and in fact even Bernie doesn't live up to his rhetoric. It's very easy to get caught up in the reality show of electoral politics, and I fear these independent media outlets are spinning their wheels rehashing the same approach year after year. She (or anyone seeking a deeper understanding of power & politics) could use a long binge of Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Ralph Nader, Chris Hedges. These people don't prevaricate. If the people are caught up in team sports, they will struggle to see the much larger forces at work.

We need more women like Emma Vigeland. She is the breath of fresh air among many voices that dominate the liberal narrative in the US. She is right. Privatization in America has brought to the point where all politicians are mostly bought by private entities. Even Military industrial complex is in the hand of private industry and there is no nationalization (in the form of state-owned enterprises) whatsoever that could empower government to maintain in objective authority handling important fields, including natural resources, infrastructure, and energy. Emma has such a clear mind, a dynamic duo along with uncle Sam Sedar.
