Paul, I passed my road test today. I must've watched your video like 10 times. Gear before steer is so helpful because the inspectors love that. Make sure you bob your head around when you approach a stop sign or about to make a turn. Also check your mirrors and blind spot when turning. Make sure you stay between 20-23 mph when it's safe to do so. Good luck everyone, you got this! Just practice practice practice before your test.

@@mexitechnology7838 It's a bit tricky because the roads are super narrow two-way streets. Pulling out from the start of the test is where my instructor says people make the most mistakes. So be careful to check your mirrors AND your blindspots. I'd also recommend KZbin Searching "Red Hook Road Test" just to see how others describe it so you can also have a visual. But don't psyche yourself out based on their experiences either, their experience is THEIRS. Best of Luck.

I passed my road test on Wednesday June 14, 2023 and I would like to thank the almighty first and Paul for his videos. I have been watching your videos many times and it was really helpful. Thank you so much! I always wanted to pass with a high score and it happened. After failing multiple times, I passed with a score of 95 out of 100. I had only 5 points while doing my u-turn because the street was a little tight, I had to do a lot maneuvers, but I still did without hitting another car. Thanks again Sir. I just found this video. I take my road test tomorrow in Patchogue Long Island. I've taken 13 driving lessons because they kept switching my instructors and my 4th instructor finally gave me the confidence to finally take the test. Today I wasn't feeling totally confident and wished I had taken lessons in NYC instead. I found this video and it gave me a lot of confidence and calmed my anxiety. Especially when I saw you driving where I was born and raised. Williamsburg/Bushwick area. It put a smile on my face and made me feel so much better. Paul your videos made a huge difference I have been watching for several days before my second road test attempt. My first road test at Strang in the Bronx I failed miserably, so I started watching your videos and taking notes, then, I was foccused to do much better on my second attempt that was today at Havemeyer, I was second in the line after 8:30AM and was another female examiner, so I did my road test, I made few mistakes, she deducted points because I parked too far from the curb according her, I made few left turns wide, after all I passed. 🙌🙏🏻

Thank you for this video. I watched this the day before my test and I passed the first time! I took my test at 4:00 pm, there were a lot of cars on the road at that time and it was really busy. But I didn't let that fear overcome me. I did everything I was told and I passed with no problem. I had to take the road test in a new car too. The driver instructor was super nice and helpful. @@shanellerosado63 they do not make you drive on highway for your road test. The test is literally 7-8 minutes. They will have you do turns while driving, parallel park, 3 point turn, regular parking that’s it. When u head back to the finish it’s not over until ur car is turned off so make sure u finish correctly

@@_jhxn Everything he said on the video. The only thing that was slightly different was that my parallel park was literally right at the end of a road where another road joined. So if you went too far back you'd go into the other road. The car in front was a large car as well, so finding the license plate in the correct part of the window worked a charm. If I'd followed the other advice I was given I think that would have turned out a bit of a mess.

Excellent. I've been driving for years. Lost my license for some more years, but now in the process of starting over. Just took my 5-hr pre-licensing course and road test is next. I was going to pay for some lessons, just to do one of those driving school packages, but after seeing this video, I wont need too. You should do private lesson and make some $$$ on the side.
