Arraez would be PERFECT for the Yankees! 3-way deal with Reds: Agustin Ramirez, India, and Benson to Marlins, Rortvedt and 2 other Yankee prospects to Reds. But why not break the bank for a HUGE trade with the Guardians (perhaps a 3-wayer) to bring over Bieber, Jose Ramirez, and Clase, while getting rid of Torres and LeMahieu...and some prospects, of course?

Wait until 2024 trade deadline for possible trade for Burnes or Cease and hopefully their asking price will decrease.

Yes, probably the most opportune time to obtain either one. I would get Cease.

Im VERY interested in Arraez, but no WAY are the Marlins trading him straight up for Gleyber, because of his impending free agency. Still, he could be valuable to them to move at the trade deadline or will want to extend him like you suggested, especially if theyd always had their eye on him and see him as part of the Marlins' future. But if they packaged Edward Cabrera or Luzardo in there id most definitely include Spencer Jones. I think they would want The Martian if they were to include Luzardo. Id be open to trading anyone not named Judge, Soto, Cole, or Volpe...Id include The Martian too because he seems hes gonna be special. If the Yankees plan on keeping Soto, youre gonna have him, Judge, and either Jones or The Martian as your future set outfield. But Id seriously think about it because Arraez is not a free agent for a couple of years and hed be PERFECT for the Yankees the best lefty contact hitter. You send them Torres because you might be sending them their desired future 2B (or trade deadline asset), plus either The Martian or Jones, Peraza (they need a SS), and either Warren, Beeter or Hampton, maybe throw in Rortvedt too? ... and in return, we get Arraez and ideally Luzardo, but might have to be Cabrera....maybe you can give up Pereira instead of Jones and you get Cabrera instead of Luzardo Either way, Thats giving up a lot, but 2 years of control for a multipositional, lefty, best pure hitter in the game and a young, controllable SP with upside will cost that much. If we were able to get Arraez on this 2024 team, we would immediately be the favorites in the AL. Automatic runs with Judge and Soto driving him in, plus you have him for 2025 too and he will still only be 28-29 then extend him.

Before commenting about potentially acquiring Arraez in a trade, I would like to know what happened to signing FA Jordan Hicks? Couldn’t Cashman afford $44 million over 4 years? It seems like a case of him waiting too long again thinking he could outsmart all the other GMs. Even if you think you’re always the smartest person in the room, all the players and their agents want is an actual offer for the most money possible. As for Arraez, he would be a great lead off hitter in front of Judge and Soto. But, at what cost? Trading Dominquez or Jones would be like giving up on the future of the team. Even Hampton, considering all the pitching Cashman already gave up.

Hector Neris would be a perfect guy to get to solidify the Yanks bullpen, and I believe he's as good or better than Hicks. Solid performer in the pen several years for Houston. I think you can work a deal for Cease as long as you include prospects Clayton Beeter, Luis Gil and major league ready pitchers Ron Marinaccio and Nick Ramirez. Yankees get one of White Sox middle relievers and/ or AA pitching prospect also in Cease trade.
