The girls were not ignored or snubbed. They were told no. The girls were reaching over the yellow boundary line to touch the costumed character. You can see the taller girl’s hand move the fur. It appears the shorter girl may even have been standing over the line in the parade path. That is a big no-no at theme parks. It is a safety violation. It is announced prior to and during the parade not to cross the line or reach out to touch the costumed characters. The children must wait for the characters to come to them. This is to avoid a stampede or people getting hit by the parade vehicles and other performers...like the other performer in the video who is swinging a yo-yo around. I have seen parade characters deliberately wave off children of all races who are rushing the line. It’s one way they maintain crowd control...by not rewarding the unsafe behavior. But the woman will never admit that.
