I started my KZbin channel in April 2024. I knew nothing about what to do or how to get started! It turns out that EVERY QUESTION I HAD ALONG THE WAY WAS ANSWERED BY THIS GUY RIGHT HERE! If you are new to KZbin creation, you can't go wrong with Think Media, and Nolan in particular! I am so grateful to Nolan and so appreciate the work he has done. At that point maybe consider splitting the videos up if they're too long. Just add them to playlists. Then again, this was 2 years ago so things have definitely changed and you might have changed how you deal with this too

What they don't say (and they should say it at the very beginning) is that your account have to go through the IDENTITY VERIFICATION first, otherwise the chapters won't work!

I just tried something else, that this guy and others are leaving out ... This is for the phne... Try goin to the actual video itself and hit the 3 dots.. then find edit, then add the timestamps.. but copy and paste it so you don't have to type it all over..

All you need to do is : 1. Go to edit videos. (Manage videos) Go to the description,type “timechaps:” and start with your codes for example “0:00” click on it and you’ll see your time chaps.

You have to manually type them out by scrolling through your video, seeing the time, and typing it into your description box with the name of the chapter. It’s tedious

KZbin place an emphasis on “watch time” amongst other things to work out how “good” your video is. I wonder if this will damage channels watch time as theres no need to watch anything you don’t want too with this in pace. Instead of watching through it, you just skip, watch and leave.

TULZ TV but I guess the dream is to be monetised? In that case you need 4000 hrs and this again would cut into that? Interesting to test. For monetisation I could just put an ad after every chapter meaning if they skip they get an ad straight away.

I did add chapters in the past and my watch time sunk. Then I deleted them and everything improved. For very little channels that are trying to grow, watch time is too important to have a possibility to rank a video and chapters kill watch time.

It absolutely does work. You need to do it just how they show in the video. You write timezones at the start, then the times, then space, then the - then another space, then the description. In fact it works so well I'm going back and doing it with other videos.
