nice vid man, I use monarchs, I prefer to use majesty's fiend because it's searchable and can use it with tenacity too

I know that card is good. The reason I main Vanitys and not Majesty's is because Metalfoes can easily out Majesty's and same for blue eyes. Now Vanitys fiend does not give them a opportunity to special summon to put something on the field big enough to get over it. Both are good cards though.

Awesome deck ! Have you considered siding tribute burial? Is a good card to side since mask of restrict can really hurt the deck.

I just purchased my first Darkness Of Emperor structure deck looking forward to getting it :) any recommendations of what boosters will help (Ive only just started replaying yu gi oh) haven't playes since 2004 xD

Yeah you want to make sure you get your singles online. it's cheaper that way than buying booster packs, but if you want try and get some Dark Illusion boosters pot of desires is an expensive card and that's a good draw card you can use in monarchs!

@Mystro64 I Always loved monarch since when frog monarch was the meta with raiza at 20 euro (more or less), then i loved them more thanks to the structure deck and i immediately built it. Now all say that is dead but i don't think so. I stopped play yu gi oh some months ago but i really like playin it and now i started again and i want to re start with monarch. Sorry if i take too much to post it but i was ill and had to study so i didn't have time. So i tested a bit on friday afternoon with friends and i had great results (were all friendly game so we didn't side but i think that i was more "weak" without side than Others: 4/1 VS ABC (full proxed obviously); 2/0 VS Domain Monarchs; 2/1 or 3/1 VS Subterror; 3/1 VS Pendulum Magician. Here the decklist Monsters (19) Erebus x3 Ether x1 Mega Thestalos x1 Kuraz x2 Caius x1 Vanity's Fiend x3 Edea x3 Eidos x3 Gofu x2 Spell (19) Domain x3 Tenacity x3 Return x3 Phanteism x1 Stormforth x1 Frost Blast x1 One for One x1 Foolish x1 Allure x3 Twin Twister x1 Typhoon x1 Trap (4) Prime Monarch x2 Escalation x2 Side (15) Majesty x3 Vector x3 De-Fusion x2 Book of Eclipse x1 Raigeki x1 Pendulum Hole x2 Royal Decree x3 I find good the main even with 42 cards and side too but i don't like the only book (because i have only one) and also friend told me to put out the De-Fusion, i putted them in for ABC or metalfoes, but with vanity (for abc) and vector (for metalfoes) and 3 domains i think that i don't need them. A good choice would be 2 Cherries and 1 Dante but i haven't Cherries and i don't want to spend too much. What would you put in instead of these 3 cards? For any question or disapprovations about the list tell, because it could be very helpful. To close this long post xD i can say that the deck is very consistent and i really enjoyed playing it and i think that main is on a "perfect" Equilibrium, bricked only few times as you can see by the score report. Tbh bro I think this list is pretty solid. Just remember the meta is different in different areas you would know what's best to side for your area but I would side twin twisters and typhoon for bigger events. Domain loses to back row and anti spell real bad.

Wow, no Terraforming. I'm surprised! But nice stuff, regardless. just out of curiosity, is there any reason you don't also use Majesty's as part of a lock-down set up or do you feel you don't really need him with your current build?

well Majesty's fiend is only good against pk fire and mermail I think vanitys fiend is a stronger card because it hurts way more decks than just the meta decks.

with 3 domain you don't have to play terraforming also with all the draw power you tenacity and panthesiem you almost always see it if not search it.

Are you able to activate Escalation of the Monarchs as soon as the opponent's main phase starts? For instance, opponent draws his only card and I activate Escalation's effect to summon Erebus/Thestalos to get rid of the card so they can't play it.

So what happens is your opponent during their main phase has turn player priority to activate and card or do anything they want like summon a monster first. The turn player has priority in each of the main phases. Escalation you can activate after they have made the first move.

I would buy Vanitys fiends and Majesty's fiends. Twin twisters and all that stuff you see in my main and side decks. Use my deck profile as sort of a guide line.

2 escalation an 2 return are more than enough and easily recycled. personally I run 2 of each an added 1 March an 1 monarchs erupt. people sleep on erupt but when their engine is locked and can't special summon with Domaine on the field while you have beat sticks on the field... game over .

monarchs are so bad I Dont even know what to do with the 3 mask of restricts I have lol they're useless in the side deck now because honestly I will rarely have to face a monarch player now

Don't sleep on Monarchs and Domain. It's a good meta call for the meta at a big event. Vanity's fiend in the main will also hurt everyone.

i run a really similar list with -1 kuraz -1 eidos -2 gofu -1 burial -1 escalation -1 prime monarch +3 mithra +1 vanitys fiend +upstart +march and you just lock out everyone turn 1 consistently, every opponent was just complaining about not having mask in their side anymore xD

Everyone likes to run their spell line up differently. If I recycle a spell its stormforth and panthesiem. Return I also want to see first turn. if not be able to search it off panthesiem. Escalation I probably will play at 2 when I make room for pot of desires.
