" ....... and with thy Spirit"!!! Thanks so much for another great Compline! Such an important daily event! To me, the most powerful focus whether I attend Catholic or Anglican. Just beautiful! And a beautiful voice and beautiful hymn you offered up as well, Cat! To God be all the glory, forever!🌹

Dear Cat- I don't know if you are aware of or following the production of Jesus' life called, "The Chosen". To me it's excellent. And not just about Christ, but maybe even more on his followers. There are so many great creations down the years, but the realism in Chosen seems breathtaking. One scene so far really hooked me. That of Matthew as he was at his post collecting taxes. Jesus and his disciples/followers had just strolled by as Matthew worked, taxing away left and right. Then Jesus turned and walked straight back to Matthew. "Follow me, Matthew, son of Alphaeus (sp)!!!" Matthew in consternation whispered, "Who? Me???". And Jesus nodded and said yes. All this in front of the Roman guard who apparently oversaw and protected the money collected that day. Quaius the Roman told Christ to move on and to keep moving. Then little Matthew comes bolting out, handing Quaius the key of the tax station. Then Jesus welcomes him to his group and Simon Peter objects, telling Jesus, "This is a tax collector, this is different- they are most hated by all the Jews!" Jesus turns to Simon and simply smiles and says, "Get used to different." When God speaks, he doesn't always rumble with eloquence. The rafters don't shake. But the message meshes perfectly with the exact reality of our lives when He conveys them. Truth is louder than thunder and rumbling. To me The Chosen is right on and meant for us today, where we are. (The clouds and sunsets depicted in our Compline today were great also. God is good to us!)🌹

@@katycat49 It starts slowly as it builds history and background, but what spoke to me was they seem to have succeeded in making the impression on folks there realistic. Your ministry is like that in that its an communiquè one can relate to, your own personal walk and the occasional cameo speakers of those with you. Have a nice evening, Cat!🌿
