New Zealand Cruise 2022, Ovation of the Seas, night embark from Sydney Harbour. Northstar amazing

We embarked for an 11day cruise up the East coast of New Zealand from Sydney in near perfect weather. Ovation of The Seas is an amazing ship. Royal Carribean cruise line did such an amazing job, the food was awesome with such a huge variety of dishes. Entertainment was good. We arrived in Milford Sound 2 days later. We were some of the lucky ones who got to go through Milford, Doubtful and Dusky Sounds on this cruise, there are a lot of people do this cruise and Authorities or captain will close the voyage through here and some of New Zealand cities due to inclement weather. We did not get to go into Christchurch as Port authorities closed it. We did get into Dunedin, Wellington, Napier and Picton. Each of these cities are unique and picturesque. Hello, yes I believe it was, Napier, goes to Bluff hill, Te Mata Peak, Mission winery and this amazing cafe for lunch. plenty of free time in Napier after also, great drive of Hawke's Bay, great tour. enjoy.

I'm on my 3rd RCCL cruise. This time back to to NZ in March. Been informed they have deleted the stop in Dunedin because the tides will not be right. Compensation,,,, we get to stay at the port before for an extra 2 hours & the ship will sail slower to fill in the time. Not happy as this is the second cruise with RCCL that has been cancelled in Dunedin with NIL Compensation. I own it's the same company but Celebrity is so much better in the way they handle their customers.

Hi, Yes it is hit and miss, we missed Christchurch but were lucky with all others, lucky with weather I guese. There was a lady on cruise, her friend had come from America 4 times to do Milford sound. got to do on last cruise. Good luck with future cruises.:)

Thanks heading out in March on Ovation just hoping the weather will be good really want to get into the sounds this last time on carnival it was too windy so hears hopping thanks for the reply
