I live in New Zealand where just 53 people have died of Covid. Yes, some people are protesting and perhaps the government could have handled things differently. To their credit NZ's mortality is just 11 deaths per million (as of Feb 10 2022) Denmark is hailed for it successful way of dealing with the virus, but still has suffered a mortaliy rate 62 times greater than NZ. The UK, much of Europe and the USA have lost an average of 260 more of it's people per million than New Zealand. The NZ government cares about it's sick and vulnerable, that's the difference. Some people, everywhere in the world, care about their freedom, NZ cares about the freedom of vulnerable people as well to survive. What NZ is lacking at present is workers. Unemployment is too low and so next week NZ will open it's borders to Australia. To date the government has been vaccinating it's citizens and at 93%, it's one of the most vaccinated countries in the world.

These "truckers" are in the minority and do not represent most truckers, much less most Canadians. Most truckers (85%) and most Canadians (80%) are fully vaccinated. I think most of us support the right to protest, but when it starts impacting people's lives, they just get fed up and want the protesters to go home and let us all live our lives.

Most of the truckers participating in the protests are vaccinated. They are not protesting against vaccines, they are protesting against mandatory vaccination. The government of Canada is using vaccines as a measure to restrict, deny or allow basic human rights and freedoms. That is what a dictatorship does. Those loyal and obedient are rewarded and allowed the benefits, those who do not serve the cause are oppressed. Cucktin Cuckdeau's depostic regime needs to end. Two years of playing dictator are enough. It is time to reestablish democracy. Minorities have rights too and they are protected under democratic law. What Cuckdeau has been doing, smearing those who oppose him is exactly what Stalin and Hitler and Mao were doing with their opposition. Do not let your freedoms and rights be taken away, because when you want them, you will have them to win them back through blood and sweat. Freedom is something that you lose easily, and regain at a heavy cost. Speaking as a Romanian.
