As previously mentioned, I prefer a good scoop of it on hot chocolate. Whipped cream totally disintegrates whereas fluff will hold up better. I also use my spoon to cut it up into chunks since the hot liquid keeps it from sticking.

For a dairy free cake icing.....1 bottle fluff....1 small container of cool whip and 1 large package of dry jello....mix the 3 ingredients together and immediately frost your cake. It makes an amazing yummy icing without butter or milk. The texture of the icing is crazy good because the dry jello tries to set.....it is killer good! You can do a lot more with it than just make a sandwich or eat it straight. You can also add fluff into the cake mix batter....it makes a very fluffy and puffy cake.

You used to be able to find Marshmallow Fluff only on the east coast of the USA. When I moved to California I missed it desperately. Sometimes family would ship some to me. I don't know if it's countrywide now but it used to be only an East Coast treat.

I'm from Massachusetts. The Fluffernutter is our State sandwich. I can still remember the advertising jingle for Fluff/Fluffernutters from 1960's TV ads.

Courtney.....take equal parts of the marshmallow fluff and cream cheese.....add a splash of vanilla and a splash of "creme de cocoa" and a hint of almond liquor......you will have an AMAZING dip for fresh fruit! Strawberries, cantalope, pineapple, apple, banana.....anything you want to slice and eat, do it! I make this for potlucks and it is always gobbled up, people literally lick the bowl clean!

I grew up in Massachusetts, USA. From what I remember, Marshmallow Fluff was made in Lynn, Massachusetts. I used to have fluffernutters even before they named them fluffernutters. I grew to like them even more on toast. Other companies have tried to copy the product but it just doesn't taste the same. Marshmallow Fluff is the original. I suggest doing a KZbin search to see if you can find one of the original fluffernutter commercials.

The bubble is from the jet used to fill the jar. Melted marshmallow without the roasting. Pavlova looks like a cheesecake meringue pie. You can use it as a dip and mess up the healthy purpose of fruit. You can use it between 2 chewy cookies to create a whoopie (woopee) pie. Add a small scoop of ice cream to the whoopie pie and chill in the freezer for a nice ice cream sandwich.

Fluff is just the step before true marshmallows. Usually this stuff is pumped with air and cut, and allowed to set into the standard marshmallows. This is just liquid marshmallow that is partially filled with air but hasn’t set. It’s pure sugar anyway. not something that is common in the south but it’s there. Peanut butter and jelly is the common thing but with the whole allergy thing it’s less common and schools are just ridiculous sometimes.

@@karlsmith2570 toasting the bread for a fluffernutter makes it a bit crunchier and it also makes it easier to spread the fluff and peanut butter without ripping the bread. I think it helps also to make it tastier.

My favorite is on hot chocolate. Some people use it for sweet potato casserole instead of marshmallows. We always ate our peanut butter and fluff sandwiches “cold” uncooked. Just like a pb and j. Peanut butter and jelly.

Fluffernutter: Quick snack after school that you can make yourself before dinner. Young children love this. Im 58 years old, and i still love this. Add some chocolate or banana or both on it and you have a banana/ smores sandwich. Crumble some graham crackers in between? Hot chocolate on a cold day with a dallop of fluff on top? Yum.

Exactly! I grew up in Massachusetts. I used to eat fluffernutters on Wonder Bread. But I've grown to prefer them on toast. I also like the crunchy peanut butter instead of the smooth. It gives more texture for what would be just a creamy center otherwise.

@@CourtneyCoulston theyre basically marshmallows that are shaped like chicks and bunnies during easter bats and pumpkins and black cats during halloween and trees during xmas. They are coated all over with this crystal like sugar thats colored for the appropriate theme very sweet. Best way i could describe it is taking that spoon of fluff you had dipping it into the sugar bowl and then taking a bite.
