Thank you kiddo! I used that term, because I’m an old woman: who loves TLOR & has read Tolkien several times; who loves Peter Jackson’s trilogy & loves NZ & would live there, if I can afford it. Thank you, because, even IF it’s virtual, I can see NZ. You did your “project”, in a hilarious way, that even me a 64 yr old woman & my other OLD friend, laughed & laughed. Thank you for the joy, education & entertainment, most especially now, when traveling has gotten scary due to COVID-19.

Daniel Heslop I've been to New Zealand in 2012-2013 for a month.. and I have been feeling "homesick" for so long. I am still thinking about New Zealand daily isn't that crazy!! I live in Amsterdam and I love it too but New Zealand felt like home in just 1 month ❤️🤗

I feel exactly the same emotions about New Zealand. Been there for 3 months and I met so many people over there that I consider it my second home. I'm from Arnhem btw lol. Planning to go to New Zealand in 7 months.

Finished watching, nice one for sure. That hike at the end looked pretty brutal, but wow, some incredible and surreal views. I'll definitely have too make it to N.Z. one of these years, will have to wait until I can afford to do it right.
@GabrielTravelerVideos7 жыл бұрын
Yeah that would be one way to do it and a hell of an adventure for sure. I bet the hitching is pretty good there. I've done a lot of hitchhiking over the years though (hitched from Land's End to John'O'Groats, you might know where those places are!) and all over the U.S. But I think NZ would be cool to do proper with a car at least, then probably camp to save on hotels. I'm in Albania now where I have a sweet private room for $20, that's my kind of price! And an epic dinner for $7. Fortunately there's always somewhere in the world that can fit your budget.
@GabrielTravelerVideos7 жыл бұрын
Yeah feel free. Here's my quick assessment: Slovenia: DEFINITELY. Amazing and cheap. Get up into the Julian Alps. It's like Switzerland for 1/3 the price. Piran is a cool seaside village. Croatia is worth it but it's super touristy and a bit expensive. Dubrovnik and Split are the main tourist spots, but there are lots of other great places that aren't as overrun and are cheaper. Try Zadar and Rovinj, both really sweet. Bosnia & H is interesting and cheap. Check out the Bosnian Pyramids, really interesting, that's my next video that's processing right now. Sarajevo is definitely a bit rough around the edges but worth stopping through. Mostar was exquisite but you can see it in half a day. Montenegro was alright, kind of typical beach spots. Just arrived in Albania today and I like the feel of it, and it's dirt cheap. So, that's what I've seen so far in a nutshell. There's so much to see in this region, so give yourself as much time as you can. I've also heard good things about Macedonia and Kosovo. Not sure about Serbia, haven't heard much.

Awesome job man, no surprises there! Loved some of the drone shots, I know you said they were a hassle to get but you clearly put it to good use! The LOTR/Star Wars references had me in stitches! Deffo know what you mean about how hard Ngauruhoe is. When I did it in 2015 we did Ngauruhoe seperately then did the full Tongariro crossing the next day. Buzzing for EP 2!
@chrissearle64117 жыл бұрын
