Phil, I really enjoy this programme. So relaxed and upper class. Looking forward to many more programmes.

"upper class" -- makes me giggle as a minimalist who understands simplicity and the utter peace it offers
@trevor9934Ай бұрын
Ironic, as NZers pride ourselves as not having the British class system!

Whoopers of real estate and architectural design! (I do not subscribe to the reincarnation ideology but worth being reborn if such properties were in the offing in another seven lives)😊 Thank you Phil and producers ❤

Very nice house indeed❤just thinking out loud, how much would it cost for an architect to design something like this? Thinking of doing one😊

May I ask what the black bathroom walls of No.3 is made of? Their finish is so sleek.

How much money would the last property roughly cost to buy? I have no idea what that sort of land and property would go for in NZ

Phil it is not full of people by British standards. New Zealand is beautiful and this is coming from living in BC Canada as an ex Brit

I woild like to know who clean those houses

Exactly.

A lot of Kiwis clean their own houses. We are not as pretentious as a lot of other countries citizens. We don’t mind cleaning up after ourselves. Though very busy people employ cleaning agencies to pop in once a week. I’ve cleaned homes privately And with an agency. Then when l had a larger home of my own, my neighbour helped out by keeping the bathrooms clean for us.

The third house... .looks like they ordered the same on--the-floor funky, pink/orange 'sofa' thing that was in the second 'James Bond Villain' house in S01EO2 house. Also the glass bulb lights seem to be the same as in that house, too. So people with millions buying the same furniture and fixtures? And of course, it has to be basically shoeboxes scattered on the ground. Can't possibly have any other start than throwing shoeboxes on the floor as the basic shape of the house. The weird 'tree' shaped sculptures were also in blue on outside the Lake House in episode 2 of season 1.

Seems like the richer people get, the more they want to get their kids the hell away from themselves, even at 'home.' The third house has got kids in a separate building so they have to either walk through rain or snow or storm or just stay in their own self-contained 'house' and never see their parents, presumably, for weeks at a time if they want to live a separate life from their parents and vice-versa. Like a self-destructing family, a family that flies apart by force of architecture, as each 'block' spins out from an empty center courtyard.

That may be your interpretation, but one could argue that giving grown children their own space is likely to keep them around, rather than keeping them in sight. The old adage if you love someone set them free and if they come back...
