NZ is broken. This election is going to be interesting. Have never voted NZ First before, yet i like what Winston stands for. He is the only Statesman that has the experience and guts to speak up to the wrongs, to bring us back to a better NZ. As for polls taken, watch out on election day. Keep it up Winston, NZ First, you have votes from two members of this household. Cheers!

@@haweavivian48 no party is perfect, neither are any of us. Winston Churchill made mistakes in WW1, which resulted in many deaths. But had we not had him recentlessly fighting to wake the nation up that Germany was Hell-bent on war prior to Hitler unleashing his Rath, and had we not had him relentlessly fighting to get support from America to enter the global conflict prior to the bombing of pearl harbor. Had he surrended to Hitler, when many would have, due to the fact that they were out numbered, out gunned and out resourced; then we may all very well be speaking German. So give Winston a break, he's Literally the only hope we have.

@@westerntuiif people stopped voting for labour and national like morons he wouldnt have had to join labour or national and if people actually pointed out the racism that is occuring in the country in the appropriate direction and not towards poor white people then we'd still have the realistic culture and view of NZ. Theyve been terrible for 40 years to all NZers progressions and evolved families yet everyone keeps voting for these ignoramuses, anti NZer parties because they are very ignorant of the evolutions and evolved cultures of our families and have literally taken the lead from the most racist and controlling and oppressive corners in this country. Imagine going along with the idea that our country after 200 years isnt mixed race and came from just two cultures when it came from many cultures, from many countries and many people and that was a good time to decide that the white people in a poor family were oppressing the part maori part white person in the same family and also just helping maori europeans and pacific islander instead of just poorer people as before and then just seeing no red flags at all after fighting against racism in another continent in africa. But poor NZers descended of good colonial people get treated the same supported by votes towards the labour and national party for so long. None of my families ever voted for these people because the people they are trashing on are the real minorities in the countries, people descended of colonials and maori who do not have any power or say thanks to oustiders believing unrealistic stories from people with much more money than they do to take money off of all of us while trashing on us. Wouldnt have thought this would ever be seen as a good vote, voting for people who trash on their own citizens and families, but activism doesnt ever come from reality

I am feed up being dictated to. Don't I have a say now in how I live my life anymore. Unless we bring democracy back, we are doomed as a country. We are heading towards Communism and racism. @@Davemurray2880isaindian Just an observation. My grasp as you call it, is the same as yours probably, but a lot less cynical and knee jerk I reiterate, it was just an observation. Given this day and age when public meetings are held, people generally have a difficult time hearing whatever the message is due to disturbances. These meetings are held to give a person a chance to speak to a group that is curious/interested in what the speaker has to say. If it was a debate, then you can have your discourse/disturbance. As for politics. None of them can be trusted, history has proved this, no matter what country of origin you hail from. Common sense I would have thought.

When the wealth of the people is the wealth of the nation you have a strong measure of success. The idea that you need increased population to create wealth if flawed. Investment in people and manufacturing is the way to build wealth. Here in the USA as we moved manufacturing out of the country to make money for the corporations we have seen 20 years of stagnant growth in personal incomes. The USA now attracts immigrants who earn even less than those who are citizens, when you can attract upper echelon immigrants you have a strong economy. NZ needs to invest in high value manufacturing.

Question, who is the only party who has been elected with a clear majority to govern this country since the inception of MMP, an historical event in itself, MMP a system that was introduced to give more people a voice particularly the minorities that historically miss out on being catered for by the "big two" parties. Clue, the party was led to the historic victory by a woman who without needing to do so, drew in 2 other minority parties so that an even broader section of NZ would have representation in our parliament. Do not feel bad if you personally were in the minority of Kiwis who did not vote for the party that made that phenomenal victory, you are being looked after too! 😘

I was in an emergency one time from a painful infection, and while waiting in pain, i saw a sign in the hospital saying "have you been greeted in Maori?". I cannot believe what I'm seeing, who cares if they have greeted me in Maori or not, I'm in pain, i need medical assistance, that's the least of my worries. And that's when you know this country has become too woke. You can look back in your roots but don't ram the language in everyone's throat. Call New Zealand New Zealand, we are a diversed country, we're not only Maoris. We are becoming afraid to speak up by fear of being branded as racist. I'm Asian migrant and I prefer English names. Stop with the victimhood, we've all been colonised at some point but we don't cry victims every 5 secs. The important thing is learning from history and move forward in unity. So glad Winston Peters is back, he is a straight forward guy and is not afraid to speak up and stand up for the majority of New Zealanders.

If we can stop this everything has to change to maori then he gets my vote. IT SHOULD BE A CHOICE! Labours, ardern to be precise, is demanding that maori be taught in schools. Why, they are a minority. Half of the teachers cant teach english properly. I dont watch the news anymore cos of all the maori in it, even tho THEY HAVE THEIR OWN MAORI CHANNEL, i turn talkback off now cos theyre all trained to talk maori. I get no choice, i have to read maori everywhere, even my old high school has its name put into maori, and i dont know how to pronounce it AND I DONT WANT TO KNOW SO DONT TELL ME TO LEARN IT. Everyone knows english and if NZF can stop this bs and keep New Zealand called just that then yes, he will get my vote

Yes believe it the idea is people to destroy currency as we know it and totally replace it with a digital currency that will enslave you. It sounds convenient, but the amount of rights and human liberty you'll have to forfeit and have crushed ,I promise you will never be worth any factor of convenience it offers.

Don't you mean paying the landlord so they have somewhere to live! The landlord pays for all the risk by purchasing a house to accommodate those who would otherwise be homeless. Most NZ landlords are not wealthy. They worked hard to save often having 3 jobs to pay their mortgage and then borrow again once the mortgage was paid or had enough collateral to borrow again. Mainly to ensure they have enough to live on when they retire as the pension is not enough. They are not wealthy they seek financial security and are community minded in providing housing the government cannot provide. It is incredible to find grievance with rent increases a landlords wealth without considering the risks they take to house people. Take up several jobs and save for your own place then consider the following- mortgage payments, rates, insurance, water, maintenance and the risk the tenants you have are or are not responsible and caring of your property, the same way you provide them with a home. There are people out there expecting everything for nothing and do not respect other people's property. Never appreciating how fortunate they are to have a property to rent.

@@furball8967 wtf, no, a direct democracy doesn't have to mean there's no need for political representatives, it just means no legislation gets passed without a referendum, so nothing we don't want can be slipped through the cracks on us. It also means less petty bureaucrats. And big corporate interests that undermine the national autonomy of sovereign states don't get to be our feudal overlords. You might want corporations to be like vassals over sovereign states forming a New World Order autocracy, but I don't (BTW, this is no conspiracy theory, it's a conspiracy FACT, because this agenda is seen in the WEF. I can factually assert that they want world hegemony). If my country became a constitutional direct democracy it would flush out all the parasitical shadow governments that push a system of money talks & bullshit walks. The referendums could be funded from the GST on our export, & once the collective has had most of the referendums they want it'll get cheaper. In fact it would probably workout cheaper in the long run. As for what you said about the Athenians, well, I'll have you know according to Plato, it was the Athenians that defeated the people of Atlantis before it sunk beneath the waves.

@@thediscoverworkshop_asmr1096 Wahahaha!! Direct Democracy Ole chap is taken directly from Athenian Greece. They had no political representation. It's been around for centuries! Go back to sleep.
@thediscoverworkshop_asmr1096

@@furball8967 you can still have representation under a direct democracy ffs. Besides, there could be a referendum on what issues the public would like to be consulted on before a piece of legislation gets passed, & though this might mean a partial direct democracy & not a full direct democracy it could be the difference between having our country sold out from under us (Like what happened under Roggernomics), & not having our country sold out from under us. I look forward to the day uncle Winnie openly states that he's campaigning for a direct democracy, I really do. I've always had a good feeling about him being for this country's best interests. My point is that we can put the handbrake on shadow governments pushing an agenda. After all, being a type of handbrakes is a NZ First policy, so I think I've made a fair suggestion. Wake up.

Future NZ'ders will be grateful we have the legally binding treaty to protect all kiwis from the inevitable influx of migrants whom already amount to a large portion of the voting population.... one does not have to look to far to see what happened in Fiji when "immigrants" outvoted native Fijians. Could also go back to early NZ and wonder why there was no Govt set up when Maori still outnumbered the Europeans and why when the Govt was set up, not all of age Maori were allowed to vote.... yet still white kiwis fear losing something somehow through co governance... just fear mongering and paranoia over the perception of losing the privilege they currently enjoy. I did vote for Winston once, never again though, he lost all respect over the scandal some years back and is clearly out of touch with the vast majority of kiwis.

Diversity is a wonderful thing. A bounty of cultures and languages making NZ great and where English, the universal language is spoken and understood. There is no need for any co-governance not because 'white kiwis' fear it but because NZers don't need it. Only elite Maori feel threatened to demand it. Maori enjoy the same rights as always alongside every other New Zealander whilst immersing themselves in Te reo Maori and culture. The beauty is not all NZers have to learn it, it's a choice. The only threat to all NZers is the elite Maori Treaty interpretation. All NZers are to be treated equally. Equity is an issue but as we see many refugees come to NZ with little and work hard and become successful. NZ is a land of opportunity, supporting belief, hard work and success. Winston will help keep it this way and protect NZ from going backwards through radical elitist attitudes. Every vote counts One county, All NZers, one vote.

@@ETethanET There is only one interpretation of the treaty and that is the Maori one for it was the english who sought the treaty to get in before the french and others who were already in NZ looking to do just what the english did. The fact the english held no such treaty with anyone else shows their desire to obtain one. Winston is just dog whistling to those who find appeal in his divisive, racist views but thankfully he and his blinkered, racist followers are falling by the wayside through age and are becoming increasingly irrelevant in this country. It seems none of them (including yourself no doubt) can come out with exactly what it is they/you stem to lose via co governance that creates the white fear that they exhibit. Funny how this "one person, one vote" mantra wasnt being put about pre 1820. I wonder how well those afflicted with the white fear would go with one vote when they are opt numbered in this country by immigrants from asia.... you know, like how it was when the euros started flooding here in masses, all behaved quite well until they had the numbers then used divide and conquer techniques to suppress the resident population of Maori. Once the real and factual history of this country starts being told as it will be, then the true horrific and shocking accounts of assimilation, subjugation and colonisation will lead this countries population to demand those wrongs are put right. Oh hang on, maybe that's what all the white fear stems from!
