A nice clear introduction Matt. Know that I shared a hot drink with you while watching your vid. :) Keep up the good work. Hope to be asking you for more details when the day comes to do a "big" trip like this for me. Cheers!

I've lived on the north island for 20 years - born and raised. I'm into camping, travelling and snowboarding.There loads of camping spots here, either farmland, lakes, beaches, camp grounds and holiday parks.. There's 3 ski fields and lots of places to travel and explore here in the north. I've always wanted to visit the south and will defiantly try to visit this year and hoping to visit queenstown, alexandra, lake tekapo and wanaka. New Zealand is indeed a beautiful place to visit and I hope to see you guys along the way. Take care and great video mate. :)

Thank you for this! A group of friends and I have a trip to NYC planned for this summer. But after this we feel it is time for an international trip from the US to NZ. I'll definitely check out your website. Thanks again.

Awesome video Matt! I know how much work you had to put in to film & edit this. I actually started making travel videos as well while I was abroad this summer in Europe! Anyways, just stopping by to say great job, keep it up!

I'm planning to go on a trip in the summer of 2017. I want to travel for 1,5 month or just one month. I have got experience booking hostels as I've backpacked in Australia in 2013. I am a teacher as a profession in The Netherlands, Europe. When the children are free from school (and so do the teachers), the summer season starts in The Netherlands. I know that in July up till August, winter kicks in in New Zealand. Would you recommend starting my trip on the South Island and gradually travel my way up to the North Island (so I can enjoy the warmer climate in August on the South Island)? You live in a truly beautiful country mate!

If you're not a fan of the cold, don't go to the South in winter. North island is warmer and feels more an island, South island is like jurassic park and feels more unfriendly Capital City - 04

+Mickey Scadden WHOA there! sooo wrong! The North is colder by far it's winter in the south island now and it's 20 degrees

How far is the north island to the south n how long does it take? Can we do both in 3weeks?
@ashleymisso17968 жыл бұрын
my boyfriend and I plan to go there in Nov/Dec. However, he wants to do some camping (like real camping amongst nature etc) Anywhere in NZ we can do that?
@properwanderlust1108 жыл бұрын
Are you in a campervan? If so you have a ton of freedom camping options. Download wikicamps!!!
@Lucalikesstuff7 жыл бұрын
There are PLENTY of places to go camping in nature. It's one of the best things about NZ in my opinion :D If you don't mind backpacking in to your campsite, google "New Zealand great walks". DOC (the department of conservation) has the best information about walking trails. You can also google "New Zealand national parks" for other options. You'll find beautiful places to camp on both islands, but the south island has more (as Matt said it's less populated) Hope that helps :)

You forgot to mention the very high states of rape, murder, along with the pollution, theft and extreme cost of living and very poor wages
@TheBluesCorner6 жыл бұрын
Robert Stewart what? Didn’t know that, don’t put me off going man 🤣 I knew the extreme cost of living and poor wages. But the rapes and murders ?
@oofym3534 жыл бұрын
@@TheBluesCorner Don't be put off by the guy above. Cost of living in Nz is about the same as in Australia. And crime rates here are the same as any other first world country.
