Nice Video folks. I am a retired Canadian who travels to NZ and Aussie during our winter. I find NZ to be very similar to British Columbia in their geography. Lots of mountains and coastline. If you want to compare the size of the 2 countries you can fit almost 4 NZ's in the province of British Columbia. One difference I also noticed was the design of many NZ homes which are often poorly insulated. As well, Kiwis (New Zealanders) usually do not have heating inside the house and use Duvets on the bed to keep warm at night. So, in general you are greeted by a cool or cold house in the morning in NZ. One Kiwi mentioned that sometimes you can see your breath in the house in the morning. I laughed and said this would be a 911 emergency in Canada. Cheers ;-)
@Albertarealestate13 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your input which is absolutely true about the heating in New Zealand. When we lived in New Plymouth, we only had a small heater for our room during winter and kept ourselves warm with duvet, blankets, layering... That's why we were so surprised to see how good heating system is in Canada during our first winter in Toronto 🙂

Thanks Raymond. We just tried to compare in general as we were never too far away from the beaches New Zealand as an island 😊 anyway we would love to travel to see the beach/ocean here.

I recently moved to Canada from NZ, but still missing NZ, NZ is the best country in the world.

Hi there, we are still missing New Zealand. It will take time for you to settle down in Canada as there are some certain differences between two countries. We hope you will enjoy and love Canada after spending some time here ☺️

Why did you move? I’m struggling because I’m planning on moving to one of these two countries and I don’t know which one would be better for me :(
