Hi guys we are NZ citizenns already, im looking into company internal transfer from Auckland to Canada. Im having second thoughts and wanted to get insights. You think cost of living is cheaper in Canada than here? How about wages? Slowly trying to research and do some studies now before we decide. Thanks for this video😊

I find it interesting how so many people are unsatisfied with their home country and then are unhappy with the 1st country they migrate to and then unhappy with the 2nd country they migrate to and so on and so on.

What about really cold houses in New Zealand? Without isolation and windows with 1 glass. Was it a problem for you?

Hi there, thanks for pointing out that fact. We did experience the cold inside our places (we lived different cities in NZ) during winter and it wasn't easy. Heating system in Canada is much better for us.

Being as NZ citizen I had the opportunity to live and work in Canada. TBH everything in Canada is quite expensive and wages are sucks. I have lived in Calagary and didn’t like at all. In my opinion NZ is much better than Canada and yes I moved back to NZ after spending 6 months in Canada. If you are PR or Citizen in Australia or NZ moving to Canada is not worth. However this is my just my opinion. No hate to Canada.

Hey guys! Which country do you think is better for an IT job (Networking and Security), taking into consideration work life balance, salary and savings? Thanks
@Albertarealestate13 жыл бұрын
Hi Xander, sorry we don't work in IT sector so we can't really say much about it. I just did some research which showing average income for Network security engineer is about C$80-110k/year in Canada, NZ$90-110/year in New Zealand, probably not a big difference. Canada may have more opportunities with a bigger IT market but I guess it doesn't matter if you can work remotely. Saving will quite depend on your lifestyle. And I would say New Zealand may be more laid back in terms of work life balance, or at least that what I found in New Zealand.

Thanks for sharing. If you don't mind what were your main reasons for migrating from New Zealand to Canada?
@Albertarealestate13 жыл бұрын
Hi Amir, one of the main reasons is we got PR from Canada and we don't want to waste it (a deadline to land) and we also wanted to explore another country. Second, we believe Canada will give us more job opportunities. Another thing is Canada allows parent sponsorship (with a limit of course) and super visa - we would love to bring our parents here temporarily or permanently depending on their wish.

Kia Ora guys, thank you for sharing this, Me and my family are currently residing here in NZ under PR, we are thinking moving to Canada as my parents are already there. If you don't mind what would be the best pathway entering Canada with the whole family? Cheers mate!
@Albertarealestate13 жыл бұрын
Hi Ian, there are several programs for immigrating to Canada which depend on your background, profile, financial capacity... For example, many people come to study first (with their spouse and kids), work and apply for PR for whole family. Or some can get a job offer from outside Canada, work and apply for PR. That option is not common as getting a skilled job offer offshore is not easy. There are also options in investor or start-up visa or self-employed person... Maybe you can talk to an RCIC (licensed immigration consultant) to have a better idea.

Your reference to paying higher tax on second job in NZ (and not in Canada) is incorrect. In NZ there is a higher withholding rate on secondary income which is designed to ensure that you have enough total tax deducted. In both countries you effectively pay higher tax on the second income, but in Canada you could end up not having enough tax deducted and get a big surprise when you file your tax return.

Lovely family! When it comes to cost of living and income.. which is one is better, canada or new zealand?
@Albertarealestate13 жыл бұрын
Thank you Maxx 🙂 To be honest, I don't see big difference between cost of living in New Zealand and Canada, let's say if I compare the rent between Auckland vs Toronto, almost similarly high. For food costs, maybe Canada is a bit cheaper and more varieties of food due to its geographic location. On the other hand, minimum wage in NZ is much higher than in CA so you may be earning more in NZ. However, job opportunities and salary ranges may be a different story. Sorry for not giving you an exact answer!
