Even from the beginning the French seemed more inspired, getting into the majority singing their anthem while the NZ players really didn't. And those NZ jerseys were awful. Good thing they came back in 2011 and 2015. But it seems the lesson wasn't learned with leaving out key players, and moving players into unfamiliar positions during this game in 2007 because NZ did it again in 2019 and didn't make the finals.

The All Blacks did have a complete meltdown in the last 10. Conrad Smith on at 13 or Mauger on at 12 probably would have helped a great deal.

@@davsavchav Yes, no doubt but at that point in the game momentum, and run of play is everything. At least in 1999 despite Lomu keeping us in the game, the French just put on the razzle dazzle and blew us off the park.

ABs moan moan moan, no one ever checked Richie McCheat over the years! However as a Bok fan, I was very disappointed with Luke McCallister, he had ample opportunity to do a drop goal before his last-ditch attempt! The ABs were camped out just outside the French 22 for almost the last 10 minutes, what on earth, brilliant drop goal time!

@@Amnesia2Morrow LOL. We peaked during RWC 2019 and really peaked for the final! I have never seen the Boks play that well. Since then we have run out of ideas! We beat the ABs using the bomb squad then lost to the ABs using the bomb squad! So some games it works others not! The French are going to wipe the floor clean with us on Saturday! I am a Bok supporter, but i dearly want the French to win their long-over-due RWC title next year!
