It’s actually quite rare for Kiwis from what I have experienced in NZ. As a left leaning af country, New Zealand isn’t all that enthusiastic about guns. In fact, a lot of people I have met are hoplophobic. One example is one of the English teachers at my school. He popped into my class one day to have a chat with some of my classmates. When he mentioned a “garden party”, I misheard it as “gun party” and got really excited. When he realized my misunderstanding, his very first reaction was a HORRIFIED and DISGUSTED expression and the question “why would anyone ever hold a gun party?” So yeah, New Zealand isn’t the best place for enthusiasts.

You join to defend NZ. It's also not the 'Royal' New Zealand Army, it is the Royal NZ Airforce and Navy. The NZSAS is also not the SAS. 5) Income tax is now about 17%

On whether New Zealand, Canada, etc. are still British territories - No, they are not. They still have His Majesty the King as head of state, but every other aspect of government that matters are independent. They are basically separate, independent countries that happen to share the same monarch.
