Shaun Johnson is on the same par as Cronk, Smith, Slater and Thurston. He just is. He’s one of my all time favs. I love my man DCE. Go Manly.

As a Tigers supporter. It was a great opportunistic try.... All Elliott had to do was take the tackle and go in the sheds.

Kiwi here. The 5 for the warriors Manu was offside and inside the 10. The 4 for the warriors surely had an illegal play at the man without the ball as well. 100% would not have been given upon review in this day and age.
@Jayefx2 жыл бұрын
Shows how ridiculous the rules have come right, Manu had no bearing on the outcome of the try, Dane Neilson was competing for the ball, no deliberate holding back or illegal play, but because the NRL officiating has gone that overboard, where common-sense is no longer used, we get continuous bagging of the officials and the game.

Offside? No one was offside no.5 pulled out of the chasing pack. Knock on?? Where?? Pleeeeease!!! Up the WARRIORS!!
@ynotnilknarf396 жыл бұрын
Within 10m is interfering with play from an offside position, he's less than 5m away when the Wests player touches it so it's a penalty. Complete fuck up on that by video ref and on field officials.

@@ynotnilknarf39 he didn't have anything to do with it😂
@ynotnilknarf394 жыл бұрын
@@littlesnokz_838 If they are within 10m from an offside position then they are interfering with play and it is a penalty. If you don't understand why someone simply being there is interfering go ask a player or a ref/touch judge. The law is there because defenders are having to consider anyone within that scope of getting to the ball or to them as a catcher, their mere proximity is enough to have an influence on outcome. Additionally the defender (no.9) has his shoulder/arm pulled back by the No.3 so is also a penalty for that .

@@ynotnilknarf39 ur pushing it mate and it ain't going nowhere 😂🤣
@ynotnilknarf393 жыл бұрын
@@Jessaye1420 nope, an Australian try was chalked off because of precisely that against Great Britain a few years back, player was within 10m of the GB FB and came from an offside position so the fact the FB fluffed the catch in part from pressure of onside but also offside players meant it was given as no try upon video replay. Officials not employing the laws of the game is why we have horrible play the balls, forward passes that rarely get pulled up, offside at the play the ball and other infringements which spoil the game. Players and coaches push to the extreme and with little to know jeopardy they push beyond the laws.

Remember that old referee Bill Harrigan ?? i think his name was..?? He was so good at seeing the field that he would've just awarded the try. Even if he did go to the video ref he would just get them to check one thing...not like, "can you go back to the 1st tackle and make sure there's nothing we cant ping the Warriors for. Don't get me wrong...i love the video ref concept but it should only be used sparingly. You gotta teach the ref to have confidence in their decisions and that way the players respect those decisions when they dont go their way. Oh and the other thing about Bill is that he was truly impartial...He was a proud Aussie but he reffed down the middle regardless...No 'underarm reffing'

Aside from the ptb been after the hooter, no.5 is offside at the kick and encroaches within 10m so it's a penalty to West's

Yeah I agree with you there, just doesn't worry me as much as when there's a huge blunder where the player had a serious effect on the play. Referee's definitely need to pick up their game, been very average so far this season imo,
