Excellent vid, that was a great double catch on the one lure! A better way of using Panko. Into a bowl, 1 egg, lemon juice or vinegar, salt,i use Janes crazy mixed up salt, your own spice mix, whisk and add self raising flour until you have a batter that doesn't drip off the whisk,thats important so you get less batter drips in your Panko crumb container. Add the fish, bite size pieces if one uses fingers, whole fillets if served at the table. The old school method of flour-eggwash -crumbs is not needed. Options.....lime juice and Soda water Tumeric gives a nice yellow colour Whitlocks tomato chutney for flavour and pink colour. Your favourite mustard., Dijon is nice. Fresh chopped herbs. Just one bowl and whisk to wash up, no flour mess to clean up. Takes up less room on the kitchen bench.

Nice upload (and nice boat too). When I was a kid in the mid 70's the workups in the Bay of Islands were tens of acres in size. You'd see them for miles around the bay and have several to chose from on any given day. There would be thousands and thousands of birds and the fishing was unreal. Sadly those days are gone, the stock having been hammered. Rec' fishing could not possibly have hit the resource hard enough to bring the workups to a tenth of their size and frequency.

Thank you 😊 yes I heard bay of island had huge work ups there back in the days. Gamefishing is amazing there.

Early 60's fishing with my father off Whitianga, seeing several acres of Kahawai rise out of the sea as one as a Mako would do a strafing run under them.

Have a good think about that one the bay gets hammered every Christmas and new year some days you could almost walk across the bay without getting wet its that crowded scallops have been wiped out because of the holiday makers also all rec fishers.
@540chevhell92 жыл бұрын
@@andrewwheaton5118 ‘almost walk across the bay” 🤣 mate exaggerate much? Yeah it gets busy, there’ll be 300-400 boats fishing the whole Bay at times …260 square kilometres of water. I don’t personally think the recs wiped out the 10 acre boil ups I used to see. Allowing 4000 tonnes of commercially fished Kahawai per annum to go to Aus for cray pot bait probably had more to do with it. Scallops yep probably hit much harder by recs I agree.

Great Video with good content, well done. Question: can you set the helm master to keep bow pointing into the swell when at rest to avoid the rock and rolling ?? Just curious cheers .
@extremefishingnz43142 жыл бұрын
Hi yes yamaha helm master can do both but In rough condition it works better if boat is facing stern with the swell. Really cool gadget have on the boat. Really cool for fishing in the pin 📌

very modern, if we in Indonesia only use hadline techniques and do not need sophisticated tools or fish detectors
@extremefishingnz43142 жыл бұрын
That is real fishing what you are doing there. In nz fuel is expensive now and having latest gadget makes it easier to find fish and gets the good results at the end
