I dont want them to add master mode as dlc again. I want them to add it as a feature when the game launces. I have been playing master node for the last 2 years and i cant imagine playing botw normal mode. So i just hope theres some kind of hard mode alongside the games launch.

Master Mode is good. Master Trials was lame. Too linear, too repetitive, too difficult: archers getting lucky shots, or having to fight a [spoiler] while wearing [spoiler].

I pray that Zelda is alive… even if the green hand prevents Link from saving her, or breaking Demise’s curse (endless cycle of death and rebirth). The reasons why I don’t want her to die is not because how relatable she is due to her complex relationship with her father, nor Link’s love for the Princess of Hyrule or his promise to Urbosa. But I want her to be happy being a scholar she dreams of being. After everything they have been through, the pair never get a chance to settle down and enjoy peace for awhile.

I want a few weird things from TOTK. First, I want a mode where when the blood moon rises, it sends an army of monsters against Link, like Dead Rising zombies. Second, I want to wear a cowboy hat and a poncho. Not a cape. A poncho that Link throws behind his shoulder when he pulls out his sword. And finally, I not only want to pry dogs, but I also want to see cats.

A poncho and a hat is what we were missing in Twilight Princess when we went full Old West mode gunning down Bokoblins in the Hidden Village, complete with old timey showdown music.

I think that the mention of "Endless adventure" in the article, is hinting at the game being much more replayable than BOTW. The next Zelda game is going to take a long time to create, if they are to start from scratch, so I believe that TOTK will need to be VARY replayable, and "Endless"

Agreed. It may be hard to top the sheer size of TotK's world with a sequel. It builds upon BotW's Hyrule, and has a massive sky world, all seamlessly connected together.. That's a tough act to follow.

I don't think they will put the master mode behind DLC again. There was a lot of back lash last time. I could see them doing some kind of ne challenge mode, but the "Hardest difficulty" will probably be unlocked by completing the base game this time.

i can't think of dlc other than paid DLC to have additional costumes/skins and possibly even new parts to build with. The game is entirely comprised of an expansive list of DLC ideas for BOTW plus applying original BOTW ideas that they set aside.

amiibos gave us cool outfits etc but from what we see they have taken that away and instead giving us glider skins instead which imo isn't acceptable many paid full price for amiibos it gave us cool rewards in botw and then to take that away in the sequel is trash

While I like how depicted early dlc release will be similar to what we have in BOTW, what I am hoping is to see for future DlC is we have the underground section of Hyrule where you get to play as Princess Zelda and let her have her own adventures since the links of her new Shiekah Slate is hinting that possibly.

A note: the dlc note on the official zelda website is based on the old description for the digital version. When the website was first updated, it stated "Pre-order the digital edition directly to your system and play when it’s released. Plus, earn up to 300 My Nintendo™ Gold Points* you can use toward a future purchase of eligible digital games and DLC***." They for some reason removed the asterisks but the DLC footnote was based on this, and it DOES NOT MEAN Tears of the Kingdom will get DLC.*

Now that I think of it, the DLC could probably be about rebuilding the kingdom after you defeat Ganon if it isn't in the base game since it doesn't make much sense to add another dungeon or something else after you defeat Ganon since Nintendo's probably going to have post game content since a lot of people complained about BotW not having any.

I know it’s highly improbable since we don’t know what happened to the divine beasts, but given that there is potentially battles with hordes of monsters, I am hoping that just like Age of Calamity there are divine beast battles where we can completely rain destruction down on our enemies, like Ganondorf is trying to do.

You could open the book, read it, and then push the power button on your switch. And Nintendo knows that and is still shipping it with the game. So what difference does it make then? This is extremely childish behavior. The artbook is out. Everyone has read it already.

I don’t understand the desire to play as Zelda. People don’t enjoy playing as Link? Link is the protagonist in this series. Many of us have been playing as Link for thirty years. It’s his game. I love Zelda too but I don’t want to be forced to play as anyone else. If they do it as dlc or completely optional then ok, cool. Metroid is one of my favorite series. I have not once thought to myself “ I need to play as a man, because I just can’t immerse myself or relate since this is a female protagonist.” This is escapism here. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes and go on an adventure. Do we really need to see ourselves exactly reflected in every protagonist? There are plenty of games starring female characters. If people want a playable Zelda so badly, give her her own series. I’m all for that. We don’t need to go changing every series around just so everyone can feel represented. (that is what the argument eventually boils down to in my experience.) Then why not an African American Link, or a Pacific Islander Zelda or a gay Zelda or a quadriplegic Link….all of the sudden you’ve lost sight of what the point of gaming is. It’s about escaping our reality, not holding a mirror to it. Representation is fine, but create something new then if that is the main goal. If the sex and race of the main character is what you are thinking about while gaming, you might have your priorities mixed up.

The dlc will 100% have the heros path but maybe changed now with diffrent layers, one for the sky, one the land and one for the caves. I think the dlc will also include a flying vehicle of somesort like botw got its mastercykle
