NewAir 840 Cigar Humidor Review

They finally made a self contained unit that heats, cools, and regulates humidity. And is well lit. Good job! I hope that they can incorporate these features into their smaller units in the future and build something that prices under $500. I am sure anyone would be happy to have one.

Mine will not allow settings of temp and humidity over 72. Both max out at 72. Also the Newair web site list RETAIL at $1959 or there abouts. Mine weighs ~90 lbs so moving it around is a bit rough. Otherwise, after 2 weeks it is rock steady on settings. I use wifi Govee temp device to keep a check on it from anywhere. All good so far!

Nice man! Just a thought but it’s up to you. I read the owners manual and it says it can handle ambient temps up to 109 degrees. Of course that’s not recommend. ..so maybe this summer put it on your deck or garage in the shade when it’s about 90 degrees out and see how she does. I recommend putting your less expensive cigars in there if you do lol. I’m curious to see how the humidity holds when the compressor is kicking on more frequently.

Do you think having Boveda packs throughout would help to regulate humidy as well? Or if you have a dry Boveda, you can put them in this unit and they'll eventually recharge? Have you tested that?

What is the minimum amount of cigars you’d advise someone to keep in this unit to maintain proper humidification throughout?

Customer SERVICE for this company is pitiful. I would fins another brand. I had a piss poor experience with them too!
