Love this video. So simple. I am so glad that I didn't jump on the over-buy bandwagon that most youtubers try to get us on. I under-bought and it's amazing how little we needed. You honestly barely need anything. I have three kids and learned the hard way and bought everything. They wear the same comfy outfits over and over . Don’t buy any jeans or outfits before one. No shoes .. it’s a waste of money. All they do is wear a sleeper and want to breast or bottle feed .

You’ll be amazing, Travelling with baby’s will say stay chill don’t worry about what people think and baby will stay calm, if you can feed or dummy while taking off and landing if possible helps their little ears and if you can bring you your feeding pillow you’ll be a lot more comfortable and her fav toy ❤❤ I found the noise of the plane just sent my baby straight to sleep xx

This has been so helpful! Those inflatables are good to get babes used to the water but for swimming, look up and see if water babies do classes near to you - they teach babies how to swim underwater and turn on their backs/float when put in water without any inflatables and the progress they make within 6 months is incredible, I'm due this month and def going to enroll our baby girl - will give you so much peace of mind for the beach, holidays and even the bath. A lot of people wait until 5/6 for lessons but there's science behind getting them started early as they've been in water in your belly and haven't yet forgotten how to hold their breath or developed a fear of water!

We also have the hatch and a portable sound machine. The hatch is legit. You can program it later to switch colours or sounds at a certain time to let older kids know they can come into your room or whatever. We recently went on holiday and I brought it. You can save your favourite programs too, so the volume and light level are always perfect. We have a portable one too and used it a lot when she was littler, but now it lives at grandmas.

Hi Jamie. I watched your house tour video. Romy is scrumptious and huge Congrats. You are creating abeautiful home. Having lived in period properties for 30 years, I totally get how difficult it is to find the right pieces that are beautiful for the space. I heard you say youre trying to find a vanity sink for your ensuite? A good solution is to buy a period sideboard in a rich dark wood, then buy an under sink, or two if there's space for his and her, and have a carpenter cut the top. Marble can also be fitted to the top and cut out for the sinks. Sinks can also sit on top if you prefer that look. Your plumber can put all the pipes inside the sideboard and there will be space left for products! BTW, this is a very economical solution. To buy this bespoke would be £1000's🥰

For flying with a baby, feeding during take off/landing helps with their wee ears adjusting! And if you feed them till they fall asleep then you're laughing as you can relax 💃

Such a lovely video! I’m a postpartum doula and the only thing that I would say I notice from parents is that the snoo is great for extending sleep and a great tool for exhausted parents. I had a single mum by choice that wasn’t getting any longer than 1 hour of sleep so this was used and really helped her get that sleep she wouldn’t have gotten due to no support. However I also had another mum that used it and it caused frequent mastitis, a flat spot on the head due to extended periods of use and the device was hindering the mother - baby dynamic and being able to listen to your baby and their cues for hunger or touch/bonding. You’re doing such a great job and I am in no way saying anything like this is going to happen to you or your baby but something to think 🥰

I'm totally amazed at all the up to date things there is available for new mums these days. Totally different from when I had my twins... ahum, many years ago 😊. I remember washing lines permanently full of terry towelling nappies. Romy is utterly adorable 💞

Love seeing you become a mama! For those following, just be a little careful with the Snoo. IBCLCs don’t love it since it encourages babies to sleep longer than they are naturally supposed to (night arousals are protective against SIDS) and anecdotally IBCLCs have seen babies in the Snoo struggle with weight and mom’s milk supply. Of course that doesn’t happen to everyone and I’m not an IBCLC I’m just going on the guidance of the IBCLCs in my area.

Romy is so cute! I love my white noise machine. Still use it and my kids are 6, 4. The sleep sacks were a game changer for me. I didn't use them with my first baby but found them when I was pregnant with my second. He slept great in it. Thanks for sharing Jamie!

I went back to work four weeks after having my babe. She's only a week older than your Romy i believe lol. We put her in her nursery at one month- her big girl crib. She adapted well and loves her room. We have a bedside bassinet for those early mornings. She sleeps 9-6ish SINCE MID JUNE! We are thrilled hhaha.

I’d highly recommend going to an osteopath for some treatments as they will sort your hips out :) the body goes through a lot with pregnancy and birth and osteopath will massage where is needed and gently put everything back into place and it’s seriously the only thing that kept me going after both my boys were born and even now years later

i think the baby nest was so good but we got the purflo one which is safe for overnight sleep! when we brought her home she was too small for her bouncer so we always put her in her purflo on the sofa just as a place to put her down!

QUICK TIP . In regards of getting weed on before taking her nappy off wipe the wet wipe a few times at the top of the nappy before you change her or use your finger and going round her belly button few times in a circle. I’ve got a little boy and I was having to get changed multi times a day as well if him now it’s all good . Hope this helps ❤
