What a HAPPY ENDING to a story with a desperate beginning. It is very sad for me to imagine a puppy so young (only a few days old) all alone on a public sidewalk. They could keep him for few weeks and give it for adoption, is quite easy. 🙏 Or leave him at an Animal Shelter!! 🤔 Just leave him on the street to die is heartless!! 😢 The first 4 weeks puppies are very vulnerable! 🙄 I got my dog just before he was 7 weeks old and he was very small but courageous and independent enough. 🙂 When I thought he was unhappy, just before he was 2 years old, I gave him to a family of 6 members because he would have much more attention than just with me!! 🙂🙏🤗 I choose what was good for my dog, despite the fact that I loved him very much!! 🙏 I still miss him a lot when I think about him! 🙂

I live in Mexico and there are many dogs homeless (the number is decreasing each year though), somehow they always look in good shape and even clean like if they had a home, at least in my city, they live in groups around the same area (like a territory), people always leave water and food at the parks for them and many people go out feed the street dogs living on their street, some people even let the dogs enter their garden to find a cool place under a tree to rest. Things are starting to change, there are more sterilizing campaigns each year, more non profit shelters to rescue these dogs and more people adopting. I have a black lab that my brother adopted as a puppy and I am so relieved that she's with us because she's very shy and afraid of loud sounds, strangers and other animals, she's like a cat actually, we love her so much.

It's pretty much the same in Athens, Greece. There I think it's mostly because organisation are taking them to the vet and get them neutered, and it seems like the locals just have a mentality that the street dogs are welcome and they don't mind feeding them.

Cindy Espadas I live in Mexico too and I always carry a giant bag of dog and cat food, when I drive along homeless cats or dogs, I stop and put them some clean water in a bowl and some food in a bowl. Both of my dogs were rescued from the streets, the smallest one was left in the road and had 2 weeks of being born, the biggest I found as a baby being 1 month old wandering through the streets of where I live. Also, my 2 cats were adopted, but sadly they died because they were old. I am still crying today about them. 🐕🐈
