Brilliant video Terry! Fascinating history of the area. As a kid growing up in the North East in the 1970's, I spent many happy hours playing amongst the tank-traps and pill-boxes that still existed along the coastline between the Tees and Wear. There were a couple I knew well around the Tees estuary big enough to house naval guns ... at least two of which have now completely sunk into the sands and are lost to history. Looking forward to the episode on brake linings ... I suspect that's a job I will be facing soon on my Old Girl too !

What a great video, and like someone has already mentioned, WWII (and WWI) plus motorcycles are my passion in life. I enjoyed your style of narration, plus a very nice touch to include a WWII despatch riders bike... to be honest, most military history will get my attention, so please keep the history side of things going...

Really interesting video, Terry. Links my two main interests, WW2 history and motorcycles. I live in Lincolnshire which has many pillboxes. I must do some homework and find out a bit more about them. Look forward to the brake relining video! Keep up the good work 😊

A new career as a motorcycle travel journalist clearly awaits. It's great that you overlaid the spoken words and silenced the bike periodically, good pro job :)

Just watched this. Brilliant video matey. Having being born in Peterborough and lived in the area all my life, I see these defence buildings all the time but I never knew the true history behind them. Think I'll get my bake out next week and have a bit of aride out and have a closer look. Keep up the good work 👍

Fabulous insight into local history 👍 don’t you just hate it when bits of the screen go all pixelated 👏👌

Interesting history Terry, putting together bits of knowledge collected over the years. You need to get the Triumph's intermittent LCD display seen to though.

Great video. You have encouraged me to do the same kind of video on the ww2 defences around where I live in the east coast of NZ

Thanks Phill. Would love to see that - send me a link when you've done it. My son spent a very happy year in NZ working in Upper Hutt and I know he'd be interested too

Can I fly you out to stay in my beautiful house by the lake in Sweden to help me fix my 1953 g3l rigid? It's giving me no end of grief and there is literally no one in Sweden who will fix it! That is actually true. All expenses paid sir, help! carb issues (I have two, 1 new and the original, both have different issues) after my clutch rebuild I have serious drag and have to have cable tight to elevate it some, spitting carb probably timing but I just can't get that spot in, it moves when I set it every time. Help!
