Some drone footage of the local Newcastle area with my drone. Features a lot of local beaches such as Nobbys Beach, Bar Beach, Newcastle Beach, Redhead Beach, Susan Gilmore, Catherine Hill Bay, Anna Bay. Thrown in with some skating, hang gliding, jetskiing and surfing.

I used to fly there. That's my back yard. I grew up in the house with the grey roof. Launched at strezy &, fly around for a few hours in my 150 and land down there at the oval 3.09. Hang Gliding, now there's a sport for ya.

great video !! But is this legal to do this in australia. I read about not flying anything higher than 400 m and should always be in your line of sight. Enjoy mate

pavan sachi you are restricted to 400ft in controlled airspace in australia. Thing is, most of this video is shot in controlled airspace and even No Fly Zones. Some people just don't care or are totally ignorant.

Nice footage but im not sure how CASA would approach the fact your flying around manned aircraft, considering you cant fly in a 5k radius of an airfield or heliport let alone above flying aircraft, the law states you must land your craft if there is aircraft in the area.... FYI people have actually been fined from from CASA in Australia showing illegal drone footage on utube !!
