You're right we bring in about 38mill. If we maximised the stadium we might have gained 8k seats with the gallowgate expansion, that's only about 4mill a season more. That's the limit with SJP, people would rather remain there if we had 10k seats and i understand that. My opinion is we have this golden opportunity to get something the fans of future generations deserve.

I remember when they dismantled the old town hall in the big market they kept all the stonework. To rebuild it somewhere else it may have been a listed building. “ not sure” but my point is leazes park is only a park money talks build it there if the council wants to upgrade the toon that will certainly help

Relocating just means they can proceed with the original plan to have a super site with a huge main ground, new training facilities and academy, secondary stadium for the lasses and youth teams and hotels.

I have loved St James park. But to compete it's time to move to a new stadium. They have said at the meeting in the stack. This would double our turnover. We have to get round PSR and this would be a major step forward. Time to move on and progress. New Stadium

New Stadium please and Im so thankful we have this chance..anyone going against a new stadium of 80 k plus needs to have a good rethink. Moving out of the city to say Gosforth Park is a great Idea ..after all it will only be boozers that sell beer missing out..forget the pubs as you will be giving your club the dosh for a pint or two and the club then benefits. The club could even put a moving pavement in the city so you just step on it on a match day to the nearby Gosforth Park..or a quick shuttle service ..We could even get a Hover rail link in the sky ! the possibilities are endless open your minds up and anything is possible !. It’s a shame moving but we have to. SJP is just a closed shop now. Unable to get tickets at all and it’s tens of thousands of us. Dead man’s shoes to get a season ticket. It can’t continue like this. Locking out a generation of fans can’t be the way forward. New 75-80k capacity stadium with expansion options in Leazes park overlapping the current SJP footprint would be the best solution for everyone

Leases park would be as about as far as I would like to see them move too. It's the perfect location, but I understand there will be difficulties! It really needs to stay in the heart of the town! It I the heart that beats so loud!

The Exhibition park would be a suitable location to build the stadium. it would take up only a small portion of the town moor and I'm sure the freemen of the city would not object to the idea. in my opinion this would be the ideal location and it's near to the city centre.

Need to know what the plan is for the existing site and how moving would affect the city as a whole if a new stadium is built elsewhere. I don't think winning a cup every few years and occasionally qualifying for the champions league would be worth the city centre turning into a ghost town with loads more boarded up vandalised buildings like we see in some other parts of the UK.

Dream on. The Saudis are reducing spending outside of Saudi. There is no business case for a new stadium. They just want a seat at the premiership table - as long as NUFC stay up they don't care. A billion so 10k more can see their team? Not a chance.

It's happening, a huge new stadium , and the Saudis won't to the club winning leagues and champions leagues as do the Ruben brothers, success is a very important aspect to the vision they have, and prestige is another, very proud people that will only be happy with greatness.

@marmedli9124 we shall see. The Saudis care about the Saudi league. They want it in uefa so they can get in the Champions league and attract the best players. They could not care less about NUFC. If they have a voice in the FA it may help them get into eufa - like Turkey. At £350 million NUFC was a snip. A billion for a new stadium is something else when SJP is perfectly adequate.

Not happy if it moves away from its current location. Yes, a new stadium will bring in more income but not necessarily the amount of extra seats available to Joe Bloggs that non-ST holders think it will. A lot will be corporate. The impact on local business if it moves well away from SJP is a big concern. We won’t get away with having away fans up in L7 & that will impact atmosphere & seat locations for existing ST holders.
