Kick out the dead shit that doesn't care about the shirt, get players that actually care, just like Mitrovic, Lacselles, Elliot, Townsend, Perez, and if we keep Rafa too, we'll have a massive shout at going back up. It won't be a cake walk, but if we follow latest games, we have a massive chance if things go our way. Though really, the BPL is toxic, players will play for a fucking paycheck and no more than that. Look at Bournemouth, Leicester. They came up and played well because they've got Championship mindset players that have the passion and drive. Something most teams lack in the BPL, mainly us yes. This Summer is gonna be mad.

Just a small point of correction, Inter is not in the Champions League. Only three teams from Serie A get to go to the CL due to the coefficient, and Roma have the third spot. But other than this, yes, you're spot-on. It's sad to see Newcastle, the once great Newcastle that had Alan Shearer and who once beat Barcelona in the Champions League, and who nearly came within a hair's breadth of winning the EPL, has fallen this far. One would hope that Mike Ashley would piss off and that Newcastle will get back to being their best again. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for this team, so to see them fall this far is really quite sad. Football just seems less better without a strong Newcastle in it.

In America and I'd guess probably Australia as well many people (myself included) are turned off by the ineptitude of the leagues. Teams hear in the states can't legally sign more than 3 good players and these guys can't even cross a ball properly. I don't really have a local team because of how big the continent is and the closest one is hours away. Also, there isn't really any possible place teams can go with success or failure due to a bad champions league and a cup after playoffs in the American style as well as no relegation. The league is worse than the championship and our academies are shit so we don't have local kids to cheer on mostly. So I support a team in Europe that gives American players a chance and also plays English players (I can identify more with people who have similar culture and also really like Britain) not sure if all this also applies to Australia but I'm guessing some does

ah I would have sooner there was a less toxic rivalry, I support Newcastle but even with Newcastles previous great derby record the match always felt very sinister, the 5-1 match was ugly. Sunderland is a shit hole but in the interest of regional football I am glad that there are still 2 northeastern teams. The league has shifted to the south so many very very well run family sized clubs. So I am begrudgingly not averse to Sunderland doing well, also Middlesbrough but I would far sooner see Newcastle doing well. Enjoy next seasons repeated escape from doom.
