Fireworks in Korean are called fire flowers. As a linguist, I love the way he plays with words across different languages giving this cross cultural flavour and meaning to his lyrics, as with “flower works”, or making you look at a phrase or word in a different way, as with “Still Life”.

To say I love this song is a gross understatement. It touches so much in my heart and makes me cry. It is painful but honest and expresses what it feels like to be responsible for holding everyone up but losing yourself in the process. In the end it’s about working to get yourself back and finding the joy and passion that was once there. I am older than a lot of fans but know how this feels when your world demands so much of you that you begin to lose you. My wish is that he and the other members take this time to find their joy again. As a fan I can wait until that day

For me personally, the video makes me think of RM in the beginning being so dazzled by the fireworks (the splendor, bright lights of the industry and rise of BTS) that he failed to notice the falling ash and fire burning his field of flowers (his peace, his most authentic self). Gradually the field comes back and he finds his way to it again, finally coming to the realization that his mindset in the sky amongst fireworks isn’t where he wants to be. He’s going to stay on the ground, with his flowers. It’s so beautiful and painful - this song really feels like an end or finale of a long self journey

Listening to this song really broke me to tears... The lyrics are so painful but also beautifully written, Namjoon really knows how to express his feelings and touch people's heart with his music ❤️ The mv is a piece of art too and I really loved the voice of Youjeen, she truly had a strong impact in the chorus!! please don't apologize or feel embarrassed or anything for how you react; if something touches your heart in some way, how you respond to that, whether with no tears or full on sobbing, that's how you yourselves express emotion and there is no shame in that. granted i'm also easily moved to tears, but crying and showing these kinds of emotions is still far too stigmatized in society for everyone. i have a lot going on in personal life so was unaware of what Namjoon had shared recently about what he's been going through and personal struggles, so having that additional context now after watching the mv earlier is absolutely heartbreaking. as you both said, it's so hard to see someone going through all of that and knowing that there's not much you can do. at the very least though, we can all continue to support him as best we can, keep reminding him of how much he's genuinely loved, and of how much his beautiful heart has touched so many lives for the better. this song and mv are a masterpiece, and i can't wait to see the rest of his work now and in the future. thank you both for your reaction! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

To me it's like he's friend with the shadow, because that's how he felt with being in BTS. Everybody screams I love you to all the 6 members but him, and he knew it, but kept to him self. I'm not and Idol or any sort of celebrity, but I know where hes coming from. I too get that name calling and mistreated, and being ignored. With him it's the Army Who Likes all the other 6 members. I heard it with alot of concerts oh KZbin. When he sings he doesn't get the loudest Cheer and clapping like his 6 band members
