Great review! Another old guy here 63 years young, 😁 I invested in a Method 2 last year for a public land Iowa hunt, first time saddle user and it is the only saddle I have hunted out of. I am definitely sold and appositely love everything about this saddle, I did a lot of research on different brands beforehand and am very happy with my purchase. For public land hang and hunt style hunting a saddle is the only way to go and this season my city just opened up the public parks for bow hunting. A saddle will be perfect for this, I will still use portable stands for the private land I hunt and leave them up for the season and use the saddle if I need to make a move instead of moving the portable. Love your videos keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words and views! So glad to hear that there are more "seasoned" guys than me running around hunting out of saddle gear. Stay safe!

I'm curious if anyone using these saddles has experienced fraying on the lineman D loops? I bought 2 of these saddles this year for my son and I and we are both experiencing the material fraying and the stitching coming out. We used them for about 1.5 weeks so far about 50 to 60 hours of sitting and we are seeing lots of thread hanging off them. On one of my loops the seam actually opened up as the stitching came apart. I emailed Latitude to see what they say we should do as far as being concerned or not.

I have not had fraying happen. But if you have that going on reach out to Latitude.

I am researching the saddle hunting concept. How does this system fit with a heavy winter coat on?

It works but you kind of need to slow down and take smaller spacing of sticks while climbing. I am going to be doing a video on cold weather saddle hunting very soon.

I love my Method. Mine isn't actually the Method 2 so it still have plastic clips that connect the panels when I'm walking in instead of the magnets, but mine is upgraded to the rope belt, which I like a lot. I don't want a big metal buckle that I could bang stuff on and make more noise. To be fair, it's the only saddle I've ever used. I'd like to try a Cruzr XC at some point.

This is my first time ever commenting on KZbin. I am really curious to know which saddle you prefer, the method 2 or the transformer. I'm looking at buying a saddle in the next few days and would really love your input on that. Keep up the great work, I only recently discovered your channel and I think it's great!

Thanks man. Glad you like the content. As to which I prefer ... as of right now I say it is a toss up. The Transformer is much heavier and in my opinion is not as conducive to long walks in. However, it is built incredibly well with attention to detail that is second to none. I haven't had time yet to spend comparing the two, moving from one to the other yet for a comfort comparison. But that Method 2 is an awesome saddle so far. Very light weight for a 2 panel and very comfortable. Maybe in the coming weeks I can do a comparison. I honestly don't think that you could go wrong with either of them.

Also .... LOVE the OldschoolBMX name. A fellow old school rider here who still rides flatland to this day.

I have the Method 2 and love it but I have nothing else to compare it to as it is the first and only saddle I have owned.
