These are all great ideas! They work perfectly as projects throughout the year, and also as a culminating project at the end of the year, as you mentioned. I have done storyboards, comic strips, skits, and monologues with my students in the past, but not with the tools/apps that you mentioned, so I am looking forward to having my students try some of these next year! Thank you for including links to your other tutorials and being transparent about the cost of the programs. Good thing most have free trials!

Thanks for your feedback, Elizabeth! Enjoy your summer, and have fun trying out some of these programs/projects next year!

Wow, what a jam packed informative video. Very inspiring for the many options teachers and students have for encouraging and expressing creativity. I really appreciate the ease of following the video with the consistent format of naming each option, telling us the cost, and your generosity of providing links to your full videos and templates. You're the best!

I love book creator! I used it as a teacher during lockdown as a collaborative space for my students. And I also used it to help my son with his creative writing assignments - he has processing issues so the speech to text function was invaluable in helping him express his creativity. Getting words onto the page and editing them is much quicker in book creator, than writing by hand. He wouldn’t have made the word-count otherwise and being able to add pictures and other media was so easy for him too.

Awesome, thanks so much for sharing about your experience with Book Creator, Heather! I agree that's it can be a powerful accessibility tool, which isn't always the first thing people think of when it comes to creativity apps.

Great ideas. Do you have ideas for younger grades?
@NewEdTechClassroom3 жыл бұрын
Hi Dana, you can definitely use Seesaw and Canva for younger grades. If you check Book Creator's website, you'll also see some examples of digital books that younger students made. I'd also suggest poking around in the reviews on Commonsense to see which apps they recommend for your specific grade level: www.commonsense.org/education/search?contentType=reviews
