I remember my grandmother had a box 📦 with canned foods in it including a can of chocolate pie with a date of April 13, 1953 on it. There was a evaporated milk can with a date of October 28, 1952 on it. A 📦 of seasoning manufactured on April 13, 1953, in the basement.

Wish I knew anyone would pay for old rotten canned foods. I have encountered hundreds of cans that were retched. One old lady hoarded canned foods and we filled up an entire truck bed with cans and ALL of them were either leaking, swollen or extremely rusted.

The Del Monte canned zucchini was still available at retail as of a few years ago (though it was never easy to find/widely stocked). I absolutely loved that stuff as a side-dish with chicken. I feel bad that a can of such deliciousness went to waste. 😥
