Dude, I once had a Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel base (belt driven) on a play seat challenge and V3 Pedals and was playing on an old 1080p tv. Then one day my wheel base had minor USB connection problems that could be within minutes... I convinced myself to replace my wheel base for a DD wheel base (Moza R9). While I was ordering I said to myself "I need something better than a Playseat Challenge" and also ordered an aluminium profile with bucket seat (Simlab). I ordered it with a mount for my TV but realised that my old tv did not have the correct mounting option. So I ordered a 34 inch Ultrawide (Gigabyte). This all happend on the same day and I had not planned to spend more than € 600 on the DD plus rim. I ended up spending more than €2.000 on it all and had some things to explain to my wife (something about it being easier to say sorry than to ask for permission). After that all happend I had a week of play on my new setup and than my brake pedal on the V3 broke. I ordered SimJack Pro pedals that took about 4 weeks to get deliverd. (very happy with the pedals). Tldr; it is to easy to find excuses to buy stuff you don't really need.

@@Empire_of_Ravens Just yesterday, my Wife came from work (im in home-office) and i drove off. Got 3x 120hz 55" TVs for 200$ each. Could not resist, now i have to find a better place for my simrig, no way 3x 55" will fit in my little corner :D

I also bought the DS-8X shifter, it is great! But I went with the LC-Handbrake, I think that is enough... it's just a handbrake😁 Mountingwise I actually did something similar: I had two short 40x120 spare profiles and I have the 3 VESA mounts left over from my triple monitor stand, since I swapped them with vario VESA adapters by Simlab... so I bolted the profiles onto the VESA mount, then bolted this to the side of my rig extension for shifter mounts and such... I can even tilt my improvised shifter mount, because the VESA plate was made that way with one center screw and two left and right with curved long holes. So never give or throw away parts of your tig that you swapped for upgrades... you never know if that might come in handy one day 😂 By the way I love the Simagic stuff, high quality builts, easy to use, very tactile... and just fun WRC is so enjoyable with those peripherals!

Love using my DS-8X but I hated the round knob in H pattern, felt too big and bulky. Changed it for the P-TSK knob that simagic sell. It's a teardrop shape, feels much nicer to use. And adding the longer handle for sequential just makes it even better

I held off on buying the Fanatec SQ 1.5 shifter for ages because it’s been on the market for aeons and I’m figuring a new one’s on the horizon, but their Black Friday deal finally suckered me in Glad you got a ton of mileage out of it!

I recently got the bash pro shifter with active gate lock. Best H pattern shifter I have used. Feels finally like a real car.

That spring is a known problem of the fanatec shifter. I love the fanatec ecossistem and never had any trouble besides 3 broken springs

I use all Simagic gear, and I’ve just recently got a sequential shifter from them and if you want the full heavy shift feel you have to get the Q1 Shifter. It uses mechanical gearing to change gear instead of switches but it’s incredibly loud! As for the hardware I’ve noticed this too, I ruined 3 T Nuts and ended up using Simlab ones. But simagic is great gear.

Hey Jards. Good choice. I have the Simagic shifter for about a year now. It is hands down the best shifter in the market right now in my opinion. For the screws, I cannot say that. Mine were like the normal quality as you would expect it to be. Maybe a bad batch?

A really good choice, I also have the Fanatec, I enjoy it very much and I can as you had done, the hand break install directly to it… but this one is so great, perhaps I grade up to sometimes like this, as I said both brilliant choice!!!👍👍👍👌💪🙌!!

A question here, for both the fanatec and simmagic shifters. Do you need to remap the inputs ingame when you switch from H-pattern to Seq mode?

Just bought my first wheel from fanatec during black friday. I’m so excited to start playing ACC. I couldn’t bring myself to play ACC over Gt7 on controller since the it feels like you’re steering a boat when using controller on ACC

I just received my TB-RS, it's awesome. I do have a big complaint: the handle is super cheap of a material that will wear super quickly if you don't use gloves and doesn't feel like a $400 piece of equipment. I know that they plan on offering more options in the future. Hopefully they will offer a carbon fiber option to match the sequential handle. Still, I'm really disappointed in the quality of the handle and of the canbus device needed to run all the Simagic devices thru the steering wheel for a single usb connection which I need to use my Sigma Cortex to play PS5 games with my rig. I have the handbrake, DS-8X shifter, p1000 pedals and the alpha mini and everything is of the highest quality, assembly and materials except these two items which I can probably replace with higher quality from AliExpress.

Yes you can but its not a great idea. The amount of wheel rotation in rally sim is unbelievable thats why they all use round wheels
