They mentioned how vulnerable they had to be with other writers when putting this together, and all the songs put together certainly tell a story. You got the meaning of the video straightaway-well done!

The entire double-ep is a concept about their history together. From being school pals in "Hearthrop" over lovers, splitting up on "Deny you" and "future friends" and making it to best friends and roommates in "vacation". The completion out of the eps was "The Promise".

Have they ever said this? I see people say this all the time but have never seen where people get that from. Some songs are very clearly about them, but in my view, many of them seems to be about life and other relationships in their 20s. I might be wrong, but I also think many people have taken some liberty in reading in to meanings of stuff.

Thank you for reacting to "Deny U" because it is in my top 3 of Superfruit songs. Speaking of acting and singing, Mitch and Scott met at age 10 while doing musical theater in their hometown in Texas.

I think it is a mistake to read too much into these songs and assume that they are about their relationship ( Scott and Mitch). Around this time Scott started dating Mark after breaking up with a previous boyfriend. Mitch started dating Beau also around this time. He had previous boyfriends that he’s talked about. I know people love Scomiche, but …

SO much this! Some of the songs are for sure about them or partly about them. But deciding that these dudes in their mid twenties by then, with a full social life and exes, only wrote about feelings about the two of them seems a bit... juvenile. Which makes sense because those teenagers loved them, haha!

Superfruit ended abruptly soon after the release of the Album. All the songs on the Album were about Scott and Mitch's relationship. It was winding down. Now they work together. Mitch is barely there anymore. Very little interaction with rest of group. Especially Scott. You have great reaction videos. Always glad to watch. Thanks.

So sorry about how their relationship just ended so abruptly. Don't know what happened between them that broke them apart like that. Mitch does keep his distance but lately he seems to be letting up a bit and seems to be engaging more. So sad, but fingers crossed.

@@lesaahrenstein6360 I don't think Mitch is leaving PTX. He just comes in and does his job. Then goes his separate way. He is doing some of his best work with the group now.

I've always felt that part of this video and song had to do with Scott having a hard time accepting that he was gay and I think this might have caused friction between them. Because I think MItch wanted more in a relationship but Scott was stuck in that gray area of sexual orientation and couldn't commit. As many have noticed, Mitch has either become distant by choice or is kind of being excluded by one or more people in the group. No matter what, it scares me to think of PTX minus Mitch.

Well it seemed like that first about Mitch but he seems to be in a much better place himself and with the group these days. He mentioned it in their last tour video. How close the group has become over the recording and touring of evergreen. I think him being the only one living alone during COVID was hard for him. Plus he’s never been as extroverted as the others so when we see them all doing stuff together he’s probably fine on his own or not joining. Years ago when they were in Hawaii performing and we kept seeing the group out and about without Mitch he actually had to put out a video explaining that he was fine and the group wasn’t treating him badly just that he has social anxiety and was needing to stay back in his hotel room.

I think that Scott and Mitch were over each other years ago. Scott was with Alex for years while he and Mitch were roommates. He was then with Marco and Mark. Mitch was with Beau. I think Superfruit was just to feed fan interest. They only dated for about 2 weeks in high school. They are long-time friends and lost interest in each as anything but friends over a decade ago.

@@vidsorama2 there may not be an interest anymore but I think their affection and attraction to each went well past their high school years. Pretty sure they both strung each other along at certain points especially after Alex. I do think some of their closeness back then also factored on the fact that Alex and Mitch were pretty close where Mark and Mitch don't seem to vibe at all. When Scott had Alex he still made it clear that Mitch was his number 1. It all changed once scott became comfortable enough with his sexuality and finally treated his boyfriend like he had treated Mitch all those years. Alex was more of a secret boyfriend that he wanted everyone to think was just his friend. Even though Mitch had Beau I have a feeling he felt replced by Mark. He never leaves Scott's side. Thay was mitch in the early ptx and superfruit days. Luckily they're mature enough to put whatever happened behind them and still work together and even have fun these days.
