Billie had just gotten home from a tour when she and Finneas got a call from the producer of the Bond film and asked if they could meet about her doing the song for the film. So they boarded another plane and met with them. Then she and Finneas wrote it. Now we get to enjoy this beautiful song!

Wow, you jumped right on this! I love it! And I agree wholeheartedly, Billie is perfect for a Bond Theme. She wrote it with Finneas on their tour bus in a ridiculously short amount of time. It was chosen Hans Zimmer out of the other submissions they received. Then it went back and forth a few times before they settled on the final version and went to London to record it. It’s incredible. I just hope she didn’t miss her chance for a Original Song Oscar since it was originally released last year and then the movie release was put on hold. I think I’ve seen all your Billie reactions, but I can’t remember if you’ve done Six Feet Under or Bored. I love Six Feet Under! And Bored has the perfect chorus to play when my daughter whines about being bored. Lol.

Billie and Finneas wrote the song themselves. The only part they didn’t do was the orchestra, that was Hans Zimmer. Although she and Finneas were both there in London when it was all arranged and recorded. And she actually filmed this video when she was in London back in February. Love your Billie reactions always. Keep em’ coming.

Ok I'm gonna be honest, i'm not a Billie Ilish fan, but I must admit I really liked this, way better than Sam Smith's which I couldn't stand. But to me personally nobody holds a candle to our Welsh songstress Dame Shirley Bassey, the only artist to have recorded 3 James Bond theme songs, Goldfinger, Diamonds are forever and Moonraker. She turned 83 this year, and can still belt out her vocals, and is currently recording her next album. 🇬🇧😁👍💞🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
