Newgrange, Ireland. Older than the Great Pyramids and Stonehenge. Meticulously constructed in Neolithic times to capture the lights of the Winter and Summer Solstices.
Connected by paths to other Boyne Valley sites, in a manner to represent the Orion Constellation. A 5,000 year old construction which was both an observatory and solar/stellar calendar, as well as a sacred burial place. Still intact and frequently visited today, much mystery surrounds its origin and purpose. Is the site connected to the ancient Irish legend of ‘’The High Man’’?
