Rupert is the direct path to our true essence. Those who are ripe are ready to hear the message from the finite self. I refer to his teachings as the shortcut to the end result which is true absoluteness recognition of source.

I agree. If you you have not read any of his books I strongly suggest them ( I have read: The Transparency of Things, and am currently reading: The Art of Peace and Happiness). His writing is void of any and every unnecessary word. I keep saying "Wow", as I read them; and can not imagine any words more clear and direct. Good luck on your journey.

@@db-333 ya but most ppl aren't ready for it....!!..it takes a certain maturity to competely experientially grasp the teachings of Advaita....So dere r basically two direct approaches that one can follow..... 1. One is Self-inquiry approach that is the classical approach of Advaita-Vedanta!!...which z Rupert's approach... 2. Second approach is dat of Vipassana,or Investigative meditation,...which Rupert calls slightly "indirect" tantric approach, however many would argue dat dis approach is more direct.....dis method is mostly practised by Buddhists, but even Vedantins practise it.....( dere z this method called Sakshi Bhava or the art of witnessing thoughts and emotions in a detached manner,...dis method is mentioned in Drig-drishya Viveka ,by Shankara, the greatest exponent of Advaita-Vedanta to have ever lived....).... Contemporary Non-dual teacher Kenneth Folk recommends a three-gear model where 1st gear is samatha-vipassana practise,2nd gear is self-inquiry or atma vichara,3rd gear is the natural state of sahaja samadhi that enlightened beings enjoy most of the time,e.g Ramana Maharshi or the Buddha....!!!..

He’s the finger pointing to the moon. Don’t forget that. You are the path and there is no path. You are that emptiness in which all potentials arise. You are wholeness and You Are THAT. 😌

Yes, most people who come to psychotherapy are not coming out of an interest in knowing the truth. They are indirectly seeking the truth, unknowingly so.

The direct path to God is simply self-remembering through a persistent self-inquiry into Who I Am. But because this is too steep a climb up Mt. Sophia for most, the next best - though indirect - path is to change one’s perception of reality through meditation and asceticism, which creates the conditions for reaching the direct path eventually. But even meditation and feats of ascetic purification are too steep an indirect path to the true Self, so as a concession, some people may pray, do charitable deeds, and perform rituals attentively and with intentionality, as an indirect path to the indirect path of perspectival transformation. And for the weakest of all among us, who are unable to walk the direct path of self-inquiry, or the indirect path of insight, or even the indirect, indirect path of prayerful religiosity, there is one final opportunity. This is the triply indirect path to God, which consists merely in belief - putting faith above reason - and giving oneself over to the study of scriptures together with a group of altruistic friends dedicated to the cause of loving one another more than each loves himself.

Im muddled here. I cannot find non dual therapist only a conventional type. How can I find a non dual therapist here in Birmingham UK? I AM indeed 'ready and ripe". I have been down to Oxford, heard you speak twice, and enquired about this, you referred me to your female assistant but she never contacted me after that...? I am concerned this therapy I am getting is only strengthening my ego, but there doesnt seem anything else available to help with trauma caused through receiving so called 'help' within my mental health trust... Help!
