I have a theory, I think what they're doing is switching concept between their EPs and single album. Their ep always have more sophisticated high end concept (debut & get up era) while their single album (omg ditto, how sweet, supernatural) have more nostalgic relatable lowkey concept. I do hope they're going all out for the first full album tho, IF hybe still let them release one😔

Great reaction and concept analysis. I love NewJeans, I loved Attention, Ditto, OMG, Cool With You. They are songs and music videos that changed Kpop for the better. I hope that this comeback is super successful for NewJeans, especially considering all the drama that these wonderful girls have experienced recently. However, I am underwhelmed with the songs and the concepts. You can see that I am not alone by looking at the steeply declining KZbin views from Bubble Gum (IMO their worst comeback song) to SuperNatural (IMO, their best comeback song). Supernatural has kind of grown on me, How Sweet is ok, Bubble Gum is best not discussed IMO. For now, I will return to their earlier music, and hope that MJ comes up with better songs and concepts for this wonderful group of young women.
