In Supernatural... the Bunny is Hyeins true alien form (from the bunny shaped ufo).. hyein is her human disguise but for some reason only the boy can see her as no one else interacts with her entire video. Bunnys creepy look reminds me Frank the Rabbit from the movie 'donnie darko' in that movie frank is a supernatural entity who only donnie can see.. much like only the boy can see hyein... the film is also about time travel and if you watch closely the dance scenes keep flipping from 80s to present day in this. Minji, Haerin, Hanni, Dani and 'the guy' seem to be paranormal investigators as at the start they get out of a van laden with equipment on top and 'supernatural' written on it along with logo (like the ghostbusters ecto-1 car).. its likely they are investigating the supernatural goings on in the city with the strange weather, zebra unicorn and UFO activity... thats my theory in shorthand anyway.. dont wanna go on too long. Just to add the lyrics sound like a supernatural relationship.. maybe between hyein and the boy

On surface level 'How Sweet' is about leaving a toxic relationship and being much happier now... on a deeper level its theorised to be about their relationship with hybe... at the time they were in a literal and metaphorical 'car crash moment' ... the different perspectives of animals, random objects and people is said to be the world watching and seeing how their car crash situation pans out (the drone camera is literally 'panning' in and out of them all over the place) but all doing nothing while they are out looking for help.... despite this while they are out looking for help they still try and have fun and when they do eventually find help their car or 'situation' is still broken. the ducks are prominent at the end but are actually seen throughout the video if you look closely and are said to represent how the girls are seen by HYBE as the 'ugly ducklings' of their girl groups. HYBE was also deleting comments and region blocking this video on youtube which adds fuel to the theory as well.

The beginning starts kinda like the old 90210 Bev Hills 90s show. Also Supernatural takes from a few old newjack swing songs like Heavy D, Bell Biv DaVoe Motophilly, Boyz II Men, Bobby Brown, Kids N Play type song and dancing. Also the Fly Girls from In Living Color type of choreo. Also Pharrell did a song with a Japanese female singer that is sampled on this song. Right now has that UK Garage sound which reminds me personally of a song called On and On by Piri and Tommy...

I was wondering when you were going to react to these! For Right Now, I think you missed the text translation. After the flower, the person texts back "Sorry, sent that by mistake ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ" So the whole video, they were trying to figure out what the flower meant, and the PPGs were cooking up a love potion. When the person texts back, they thought it failed, but you see the flower transform into the murakami flower, meaning that it did work, and they text back Its funny how you mention how your bf would randomly sing the OMG part. That's exactly how I got into NewJeans. I swore up and down that I'd never get into Kpop (I'm a metalhead), but my wife is. We went on a long drive and she was playing her music. Somehow OMG got stuck in my head. I normally say "oh my god" all the time, but after that drive, it slipped out as "Oh my, oh my god" and I screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Fast forward to today, I now am more of a stan than my wife is 😅

Right Now actually uses the same powerpuff girls theme sample that supershy did... except in supershy it was slowed down to match 'uk garage' tempo but this time its slightly sped up to match a jungle/drum and bass tempo... right now is definitely a lot more mellow than most jungle tunes but in terms of pace tahts definitely what its closest too.

Supernatural makes a musical reference to Alright by Janet Jackson (the horn arpeggios especially), but the choreography reminds me of That’s The Way Love Goes (watch her 1993 VMAs performance and you’ll see it!). I think like with everything the best result is when you do art based on your own feelings, story, memories. And I believe the ceo Min Hee-jin is the reason that we have Such a cool concept. She was born in 79, and beside being CEO of adore, she’s graphic designer and art director. So I think New Jeans is her “close to soul and heart” project based on her youth and memories. That’s just my thoughts. I haven’t seen any of her interviews, just a few photos, but the way she’s dressing and the way New Jeans are dressed… I don’t think that’s a coincidence 😊

Its so funny you mention in bubblegum.. mariah carey because the flute at the very start of the song i have always said sounds similar to the sample used in mariahs 'honey'.. its not exactly the same but very similar. (its also used in swv 'anything' and a couple of other rnb/hiphop songs early 90s.. i wish i could remember them)
