I adore this m/v. In an era of kpop where it seems like everyone is obsessed with explosive performances, flashy camera tricks, fast paced and intense choreography, and insane beat switch-ups, this slow, soft jam with a quite simple video is very refreshing. (Not to say that I don’t enjoy the former, it’s just gotten very oversaturated). Their vocals are beautiful and not overpowered by the song itself. I really love everything they’ve put out so far and the direction they seem to be going in.

화장기 거의 없는 눈코입, 깨끗한 피부, 맑은 눈동자. 그 자체로 예쁜 소녀들의 모습을 꽉 차게 담고자하는 집착이 보이는데 그 집착이 변태적이고 기분나쁜게 아니라 오히려 어떤 향수를 불러일으킴. 이 때만 나올 수 있는 분위기와 모습이 영상으로 두고두고 남게된다는 것은 이 소녀들에게도 행운인 거 같다.

I think one of best things about New Jeans for me so far is their concept is just perfect! Not just for their ages but for their voices. Each song they’ve released brings out such a fullness in their voices and it just shows it off so well! Usually in K-pop there’s at least one or two members who have a voice tone that doesn’t fit their group’s song, but every member here fits all of their songs perfectly. And it’s not overly mature or too cutesy. It’s the best kind of teenage love concept and it’s just *perfect* for the girl’s age. Everything about them so far is just perfect it’s the only word I can use to describe them.
